Yumi and the Yamayuri Council have found two new helpers in Kanako and Toko. Unfortunately, their assistance comes with tension, as neither girl is particularly fond of the other and both seem likely candidates to be Yumi's petite soeur. Will either be a good fit for Yumi? Yumi and the Yamayurikai prepare a production (The Tale of Torikaebaya) for the upcoming school festival with neighboring boys school, Hanadera.
The day of the School Festival has arrived, there are many attractions but most importantly, the drama club is performing Little Women and Yamayurikai, The Tale of Torikaeba. With so much going on, the day might not just be another ordinary day.
This year's remaining, petite soeur-less en boutons, Yoshino and Yumi are feeling the pressure to find their little sisters, for various reasons. Yoshino suggests that they have a Soeur Audition to do just the thing.
The Kendo competition is just around the corner and Yoshino promised Eriko she would chose a petite soeur before then. Yoshino might have finally found a candidate, but her choice leads to its own complications.
After exams are over, Yumi and Sachiko decide to go to the amusement park together. Much to Yumi's chagrin, Kashiwagi seems to have followed Sachiko to watch over her.
While Rei struggles to come to grips with Yoshino's choosing of a petite soeur, Yumi is deeply concerned for Toko after hearing that she ran away from home.
The Yamayuri Council holds a Christmas party! However, the merry festivities are overshadowed by Yumi's decision to ask Toko to be her petite soeur and Yoshino's introduction of Nana.
Yumi's still recoiling from the shock of Toko's rejection. To help get her mind off of things, Sachiko hosts a New Year's party at her home.
Yamayuri Council elections are occuring and while the positions typically go to the soeurs of those already in office, Toko decides to run as well. Could such an upset be possible?
Yumi, Yoshino, and Shimako have secured their positions in the Yamayuri Council, but questions remain. Why did Toko enter if she planned on losing all along? Why doesn't Yumi try to talk to Toko?
