Tatsuyoshi is Ito's 15-year-old brother, who always wears sunglasses on his head which he calls being cool. A typical teenage boy who loves to hang out with his friends and play at the arcade. Being the youngest means that he gets stuck with a lot of the work. The rule in the Miura family is "absolute obedience to anyone older." Although he may not show it as much as his older brothers, he cares a lot about Ito, and defends her when necessary. He is part of the student council, and shows a strong interest in one of the members named Rie-chan. The matriarch of the Miura family, she is a small but crafty old woman who is stronger than she looks. She originally brought Satsuki to the Miura house and later helped her and Gorô elope. She has a bizarre fascination with different fashions, using her grandchildren and any other friends they bring as her "victims." Her particular fondness seems to be for historical fashion, mostly Japanese. Despite her benign nature, she also has a ruthless side, tied in to her desire for a stable heir to the Miura family. Age: 23 Ryuya is Ito's eldest brother, and the twin brother to Yûto. He is also the heir of the Miura family. He seems to have inherit his father's overly dramatic personality (especially when angered), much like Ito. After their mother's death, he was the one who taught Martial Arts to Ito. Also, he seems to be the one that is the most protective of Ito. Being the eldest makes him the one in charge most, if not all the time, considering that his Dad works at the dojo often or writing his novels. When Ryûya went to college, he met a foreign exchange student from America, Christina. Eventually, after a bizarre year of being with her, he and Chris fall in love. Yuuto is the second eldest son in the Miura family, and Ryuuya's twin. He is the one that does all the cooking around the house, thanks to his mother's lessons. Because of that, it's not surprising to find out that he works as a cook at a restaurant in the Maria Prince Hotel in Y City. He's pretty much the opposite of his twin, except his dedication to his younger sister is just as strong as his twin's. Although he is a bit more level headed then his father and brother, he is also a little more introverted. Because of his mother's death, he would keep from meeting new people due to his fear of losing them in the future. Yuuto ends up meeting and dating Akane, Makoto's sister. A strict disciplinarian who also runs a dojo of primarily kenpo martial arts. Makoto's father is a man of tradition, who feels that absolute respect from his family is very important. But when his oldest child, Sakura, eloped to escape the arranged marriage that he had set up to preserve the dojo, he developed a dissatisfaction for rebellion. To make sure that the other children did not repeat this, he took drastic measures to keep them from ever disobeying him, especially Makoto, his only son who would be heir to the dojo. Masumi would put Makoto through extreme training, almost never letting him out of the house. Eventually he was able to settle down, but not for long when Makoto approached him with a proposition. Rather than allowing him the freedom to live his way of life, Masumi offered him the challenge of disguising himself for his final years of high school in order to prove how serious he was. Masumi often sends spies in order to see if Makoto is keeping his word or not, eventually calling them off for a while when he sends another challenge to Makoto. Though he is more rigid with most of his kids, he has a soft side, mostly with his wife and second oldest, Tsubaki, most likely due to the fact that his wife can match him in ferocity and that Tsubaki is the most obedient of his children. Romeo Candore Van de Montague is the son of Lord Laertes Montague and Lady Portia. He is heir to the throne of Neo Verona. For political reasons, he has been forced into an unwanted engagement with Hermione, a young noblewoman. As a nobleman, he rides and owns a ryūba named Cielo whom he later freed. In contrast to his father, he is obedient and kindhearted, often disapproving of his family's method of ruling with tyranny. He is ostracized by the nobility save for his friend, Benvolio. Like Juliet, he too is torn between his responsibilities to his father and his love for Juliet to a lesser degree. Though he meets her in her other persona at different times, he fell in love with Juliet after two meetings: once at the Montague Rose Ball and another in a field of irises. Confused by her attempts to distance herself from him, he reexamines the graves where he first met Juliet as Odin and consults with his mother, Portia, learning that Juliet is the last daughter of the Capulets. Regardless of her heritage, he still loves her. Thanks to the aid given by Portia, and they attempt to live their lives in peace for a brief time and, similar to the play, recites marriage vows with Juliet in secret, granting her childhood dreams to be a beautiful bride. They're ultimately captured when while protecting a small town raided by the Carabinieri. Before she escapes, he swears to her that he will work for a world where everyone -noblemen and common folk alike- can live together in peace. Banished to the Grandia mines for helping Juliet's reunion with her allies, Romeo truly learns the hardships of poverty and their spite for the Montague name when he volunteered to serve as a miner. When the mines experience a serious cave in, he orders the mines to be abandoned and the prisoners free to return to Neo Verona. When refused permission to return to Neo Verona, he leads everyone from the mines to ruins of a deserted town, and promises they could bring their families to live with them once the time was right. Near the end of the series, he had gained their respect and solidified a prosperous and plentiful village nearly from scratch. He hears of the chaos ensuing in Neo Verona and returns to try to reason with his father. Cast aside by both his father and Mercutio, he decides only then to take arms. He rushes into the throne room after Tybalt and charges to Montague, no longer referring to him as "Father" and instead as "Duke". After his father's death, Romeo forsakes the title of Duke and announces Juliet as the new Duchess, intending to return to the village and to protect their promise together. While paying his last respects to his father, he is confronted by Tybalt who then reveals to him their relationship as brothers and Juliet's fate to Escalus. He rushes to Juliet's side and stops her, but Ophelia steals Juliet and forcefully begins to sacrifice her. With the help of Francisco, Curio, and Tybalt, Romeo successfully ends Ophelia's ritual and reawakens Juliet, though he is fatally stabbed by Ophelia. Childhood friend of Curio and the more intellectual of the duo. He believes that Juliet is being protected by Neo Verona itself and is himself a ladies' man who enjoys teasing the more reserved Curio. He is an expert at archery and other various thrown weapons. Sneaky and sly, he managed to contact Tybalt so he could take Juliet to safety when the Montague faction discovered their hideout. He escapes and later joins Curio to rescue Juliet from Montague. Out of all of Juliet's comrades, he is the one who openly vouches for Romeo's love for Juliet. Curio later suspects if Francisco has concealed feelings for Juliet, but he dodged the questions by affirming his loyalty to the Capulets. During their later night assault against one of the enemy posts, he confesses to having "friends" with information. Along with Curio, he assisted clearing a Romeo path to the crumbling Escalus.
