Kei is an anorexic teenage girl. Her goal at the start of the manga is to get into her classmate Kyosuke's apartment to find a ring that she lost while a previous tenant was living there. As the story progresses, we learn more about her past and her reasons for wanting so badly to get this ring.

Kyosuke lives in an apartment that his classmate Kei wants desperately to get insde. To begin with, he wants nothing to do with her, but when he finds out her reasons, he helps her with her mission to find a ring that she lost in his apartment when it was occupied by somebody else. As he discovers more about her and her past, he falls in love with her.

Namami worked at a 'cute college' bar for adults. She received a doll from her boyfriend and later that night caught him having an affair. She then became possessed and started killing off those she thought deserved to die with her new found friend, the doll.

The sister that is "Weird in many ways" and has lived in Osaka due to family circumstances and after 10 years, she and her Brother are living together. She tends to say "Ya" and misses out G's in words such as "Going". She enjoys shopping.
