First appearance: Battle 6 Type: Dou/Sei Type: Katsujin Ken Martial Arts: Knowing him, probably everything (explained by his ability to copy all of the enemy's moves easily) Hayato is Miu's grandfather and the undefeated elder of the Ryzanpaku Dojo, who is said to have beaten 500 Shaolin masters to near death. He is also known as the "Invincible Super Man". His kicks have speeds that are still a blur even when viewing a replay of it at 1/1000 of the normal speed. If necessary, he is able to intimidate the other masters in order to maintain peace. Even using just 0.0002% of his power, he can easily overwhelm both Kenichi and Miu at the same time and rip a tree in half. He was able to defeat a master level opponent in D of D tournament with just one finger. Prior to building the dojo, he and his granddaughter had traveled around the world in his quest for peace. He has 108 special techniques so far and can copy any move an opponent uses against him, like Kenichi's "Saikyou (Strongest) Combo" and "Saikyou Combo 2," Soutenshu and Miu's "Hyi Kazekirihane." He knows Seikūken and is the creator of "Ryūsui (flowing water) Seikūken" which Kenichi learned from him. However, his most used technique seems to be the "Human Shuriken." One move that has been shown in the manga is "the Shockwave of Forgetfulness" a move which erases ones' memory. He seems to be able to decide how much is forgotten, as in the flash back to meeting Apachai the thug leader experienced total amnesia while Kenichi only lost his short term memory. His training methods are the most frightening of all the masters at Ryzanpaku, as bad omens like the splitting of tea bowls, pots and chopsticks were common at Ryzanpaku while Kenichi was in the mountains training with him. Hayato is rather fond of Kenichi calling him "Ken-chan" and is the only master who apologizes to Kenichi for the hellish training that him and the other masters put him through. He later comments that Kenichi reminds him of himself when he was young. Though Hayato appears to have unmatchable power, Miu tells Kenichi that he had trouble fighting Silcardo Jenazard before. He and Kushinada know each other from the past. Despite being the eldest and most powerful of the dojo, Hayato has proven to be rather irresponsible at times. He tends to recklessly spend the dojo's money on personal items and gets carried away whenever he has an opportunity to showcase his strength. Sometimes he's seen eating candy, especially lollipops. Also he mentions that he is getting weaker. After he used .0002% against Miu and Kenichi he told them that he needed a rest after using that much power. In Battle 231 he can use bi-vocal skill that can allows him to use two voices to speak. One time he used it for a duet at a karaoke bar apparently. Hayato can also use the left and right side of his body to perform separate actions and movements. In Battle 233 he is shown capable of reducing his voice to a degree where only one individual can hear his voice. With these abilities many, if not everyone, believe he is not human.
A single, 24 year old man who took the job as a teacher in order to settle the two million yen loan his troubled friend conned him out of. Hayato wanted to quit his job when he found that the whole village is not normal, and that the students he was teaching were ninjas, (k. However Himawari's rescue from being run over by a train had changed his mind. Hayato is one of several anime male leads (i.e. Rock of Black Lagoon) who doesn't fit in with the surroundings but manages to find a way to survive. For Hayato; it's his luck, his ducking ability when confronted with someone more skilled than him, and some of his students taking a shine to him. On top of that, Hayato has a good aim (as shown when he was throwing darts in a bar) and ridiculously keen eyesight. Source: Wikipedia

A male student with short blond hair. He helped Guesong defeat Honse and later confirmed that Honse's ki channels were irreparably damaged. Hayato was apparently the person who stopped Guesong, which indicates that he is a powerful and strong martial artist in order to defeat someone of Guesong's caliber. Though we later find out that Hayato never really stopped Guesong so his level is still unknown but should be in the general ball park of Guesong and Madoka. The art he uses is Reunion's restored form of Northern Broad Strike, which is said to be one of the two strongest arts in Reunion and said to rival Heaven's Riches. His past as it was revealed, is that the Northern Broad Strike that he had learned from Reunion had been incomplete as the art was said to have died out long ago. The scientists that had worked on reviving the art had even given up, Hayato, however still proceeded in trying to revive Northern Broad Strike. He is later seen after Yoochun had defeated him along with the entire student council including Vera, he had unfortunately discovered that Yoochun had learned the "true" Northern Broad Strike and lashed out at Yoochun in rage, only to be defeated once again. Hayato became a traditionalist after Yoochun revealed the location of the successor to Northern Board Strike; since then he practices the original art, and helped Gu Honse in simulating the destruction of his Ki channel. In volume 8 he is seen fighting Gangryong, where he wins the fight after a great display of power, blocking Gangryong's attacks with relative ease up until Gangryong had used Hayato's Ki Reversal to amplify his own ki to increase the power of Lighting Flash. This forced Hayato to take the fight seriously and tried to dodge and reverse Gangryong's Light Flash however had trouble in doing so forced him to use his full power and thus ended their fight. It is revealed that he is possibly the 2nd or 3rd strongest in the school right now, this pleased Gangryong and said that Hayato should wait for him. This indicates that Gangryong is going to challenge him again later on as he gets stronger. In volume 9 he, along side Madoka, Rud, Shin, Yuhwa and Gangryong fights against Fire Dragon. There has been some speculation that Northern Broad Strike can stop Heavens Riches and reverse the attack with double the strength. Techniques: Northern Broad Strike - A "formless" fighting style, and an external martial art, said to rival the internal martial art Heaven's Riches. Ki Reversal (Ki Rotation shield) - A technique that uses the equal and opposite force of an opponents ki then amplifies the rebounding effect of the opponents attack, to send the attack back before it enters the users body.
