Lin is introduced in the first chapter as a young orphaned girl who resides in the village where Ken and Bat are jailed. While working as jailer, Ken befriends Lin, helps her recover her voice by pushing a power point, and later rescues her from Zeed gang. Lin follows Ken after he leaves her village, but she ends up being captured by the Golan commandos (Club's gang in the TV series), only to be rescued once again by Ken and from then, she accompanies Ken on his journey alongside Bat. In the latter half of the series, Lin grows into womanhood and becomes leader of the Hokuto Army with Bat. At this point, she learns that she is the estranged twin sister of the Heavenly Empress Lui.
Miiko is Toriyasu's little sister, who suspects their missing dog Papadoll was abducted by aliens. She is delighted to happen upon "alien" cats, and insists on traveling with Hoi-Hoi, Henogii and Suttoboke to the "planet of cats".
A friend of Wakaba, Sanae is a weak and shy girl who joins the trip to Kanenone because her doctors believe that the fresh country air will be beneficial to her health. Her need to take medication on a regular basis is highlighted in several episodes. Sanae has a much younger appearance than the rest of the major female characters. This draws the attention of Tenjin, who has a fetish for "little sister" types. Unfortunately for Tenjin, his unusual and over-enthusiastic advances only manage to frighten Sanae away from him. Chikane's personal maid, Otoha is loyal and devoted to Chikane to the point where it is heavily implied that the former may be in love with the latter. When Himeko comes to live with Chikane, Otoha immediately notices the bond between the pair and grows intensely jealous, angered at Himeko for taking Chikane away from her and hurting her mistress. Aside from playing a humorous role and some very weighty scenes of her own in the series, she is a support character who clarifies how Chikane reserved her feelings for Himeko alone. Although she looks like a ten-year-old girl, Neju is actually a 2000-year-old high priestess and spiritual leader of her planet. Politically savvy as well as extremely cunning, she had countless assassination attempts thwarted through body doubles and her great powers. Neju is an exceptionally powerful telepath, able to affect movement and persuade others through intimidation. Neju first met Seina Yamada on Jurai, after Seina found out that his ship, the Kamidake, had suffered fatal damage following a battle with Tarant Shank. She had accompanied Seina, Amane Kaunaq, Kiriko Masaki and Ryoko Balta to the G.P. Academy onboard their new ship, the Kamidake II, presented by Seto Kamiki Jurai... with strict orders from the G.P. not to use their weaponry along the way. From the first moment she stepped foot on the ship, Neju was almost inseparable from Seina, which caused quite a bit of jealousy between the girls. She was even present when, during a pirate attack, Fuku was hatched. It was while the girls were monitoring a visit to the ship's holodeck between Seina, Neju and Fuku that Kiriko discovered the truth. She had seen around Neju’s neck a golden necklace which identified her as the high priestess of Melmas. Armed with this knowledge, the girls went to confront Neju, but were partially paralyzed by her as a show of her powers. But everything was patched-up when Neju gave a little encouragement to Fuku when a major pirate attack was launched by the ship. When the Kamidake II finally arrived at the G.P. Academy, they learned from Seto that the pirate attack were more than likely an assassination attempt against Neju. She went on to explain that Neju was near the point where she has to select her successor and would soon enter a secular life, which would normally require her to remain on Melmas for five years. But since she would still face death by enemies she gained during her tenure, it was decided that Neju should enter the G.P. Academy as a student. During a brief stopover on Earth, the Kamidake II crew was surprised that Neju had showed up at Seina's new home (built from the interest accrued from an account of his pay and sent to his family). She had a body double stand-in for her so that she could travel to Earth, mostly to find out about Seina's life on Earth. Neju even helped out Amane, Kiriko and Ryoko at the Yamada’s new supermarket while Seina and Fuku visited Tenchi, mainly to talk to Washu about Fuku's origins. They had to leave Earth in a hurry when the Daluma Guild launched their "Good Luck" fleet as a counter to Seina's bad luck. Like Amane, Kiriko and Ryoko, Neju was engaged to wed Seina in a political marriage after the defeat of a rogue faction of the Galaxy Army (aided by Shank)... and was witness to a forced seduction by Seto's ladies-in-waiting – who were in reality agents of the Remza Union seeking an alliance with Jurai. Maya Jingu is drastically different from her predecessor in Burn Up W and Burn Up Excess in almost every way. Visually, her character design is changed quite a bit. The previous Maya had short green hair, and a figure as robust as Rio's. The new Maya is significantly shorter, and less well endowed. Her appearance is quite close to that of a young girl's. Maya is also quiet and soft-spoken, a big difference from the previously excitable Maya. Also, while she is still an expert marksmen and still seems to enjoy causing destruction with her guns, Maya doesn't seem to have the nearly sexual lust for guns as before. Maya also has a bad habit of bluntly pointing out Rio's shortcomings, for which Rio reacts by giving Maya painful noogies on her temple, or other damage which seemed convenient at the time. Maya's other hobbies is collecting toy bears, and in one episode has Rio (with help from Lilica) obtain a top prize bear as payment for losing a training bet. She also has the unusual habit of collecting automatic pistols... and giving them names. And being unusually overprotective of them, like a mother bear with her cubs. (source: Wikipedia)
A former student of Raira Academy, moved to another high school last semester because of the rumor that she and Nasujima are dating. Her father, Niekawa Shuji is a reporter working for a small magazine. Niekawa Haruna, who hosts the daughter blade of Saika, falls in "love" with her teacher Nasujima Takashi. She is caught trying to injure Nasujima with Saika's daughter, and afterwards has to transfer to another high school in West Ikebukuro.
