An artillery type Peacemaker, like Cz. He appears later in the series. His personality is like Steyr's, but not as sadistic. He is also not as overly determined to get chances to kill people ( In an episode, while waiting for Pacifica to reach Leinwan, Steyr suggested to start killing people, but Socom, coming in the middle of the conversation between Steyr and Cz on who seems more human, said that there was no need to play petty tricks.). Nevertheless, he hates humans, or at least feels no particular desire to protect them. He is Steyr's partner. Seiji Yamada, the protagonist of Sensitive Pornograph, is quite shocked to find out Hanasaki-sensei is a man, since most of his fans (and fellow manga artists) think he's a girl, mostly due to his feminine looks and personality. Seiji is a huge fan of Sono Hanasaki's manga, adoring the cute girls and beautiful displays of eroticism in his work. He is also a fan of Seiji Yamada's work and eventually the two become lovers... instead of just work-mates. Sono Hanasaki is actually 32 years old, even though he doesn't look like it.
Sogo Aoyagi is a childhood friend of Jin's, who grew up at the Aoyagi Shrine. He currently lives in the Mikasa Shrine in Tokyo while he studies at college. They have known each other since they were young, due to the fact that their fathers are also good friends.<br><br>Sogo can often come off as self-centred, and is usually shown as this, in a number of situations, but he is also cowardly; especially when himself and Jin talk about Kogane, when they first meet her.<br><br>He attempts to lure Kogane into his grasp with a number of ploys; which include attempting to get her drunk, but these often backfire on him.
Kawaguchi published her first manga at 13. Now 6 years have passed and she has yet to produce anything else. Thinking she doesn't have enough experience to write about anything, she decides to change that. Noticing that boys' love and girls' love manga have been popular recently she decides to ask a former co-worker out to get some inspiration. Her penname is ��明日香 (same reading).
In the anime, it is revealed that Maira, a former Pawn, became a Bishop by gaining the ÄRM Vaqua. He is not given a backround in the manga. Maira is a black-cloaked masked man who takes pleasure in engulfing and digesting people with Vaqua. Vaqua is a blue/green slime-like Guardian ÄRM with one eye. Maira is first seen watching the War Game battle between Ginta Toramizu and Garon. During the second round of the War Games, Maira reappears as a fighter for the Chess Pieces. He has the last of the battles in that round, and goes up against Dorothy. Maira is quick to falsely judge Dorothy's power, though he easily destroys one of her weaker Guardians and stalemates another. Dorothy, however, calls back this one to bring about her favorite, Toto, which eats Maira's Vaqua. Maira, now ÄRM-less, begs Dorothy for mercy. Dorothy, however, doesn't do as such and has Toto eat Maira as well, becoming the first casualty of the War Games.
