Rem is one of the twin maids working for Roswaal L Mathers. She tends to speak in a superficially polite manner and sometimes acts without thinking. She holds both worshipping respect and guilt toward her sister for an incident in the past; because of this, Rem tends to think of herself as inferior.

Occupation: Middle School Student Grade: 3rd year, 3rd class Attendance Number: 3. Height: 160 cm. A girl with a bob cut, turned down eyes and a baby face, which makes her look a bit younger. She is quite lucky and has many friends.
One of the students in 3-3. She has a cheerful personality and speaks with Sakakibara in his first day in the school. She is also in the drama club, and good friends with Arita Matsuko and Izumi Akazawa. She dies in a car accident - when her family was trying to escape from Yomiyama. It was raining a lot, and soon when they were on a road that looked like highway - something hit the car's front glass, making the car drift off from the road, and falling into the nearest forest.
3-3 homeroom teacher. He kills himself in front of the class after realizing that the countermeasures to the 3-3 phenomena didn't work. He is one of the "Deaths of July".
A former Yomiyama North Middle School student from Class 3-3 of 1983. During 1983, he managed to successfully stop the calamity in class 3-3; the only recorded case of the phenomenon stopping halfway through the year. Afraid he would forget his findings, he recorded his theories and confession on an audio casette for future students to find. After graduation, he moved to Tokyo to pursue his studies. Takafumi is Tomoyo's younger brother. Just when Tomoyo's family is about to break apart, he ran away and threatened to jump into running water if his parents were getting divorced. He went through with his threat, even though he didn't really want to die, nor did he understand the rationale behind it. Nevertheless, his jump united the Sakagamis into a family.
