Dren was Char Aznable's second-in-command when he first led the attack on Side 7. He remained with Char for the duration of their chasing the White Base to Earth. Afterward, he continued to serve under Char until the death of Garma Zabi, when Char was sent to be stationed with Zeon's forces Belfast. He returned to space and led the Camel Squadron. When the White Bass returned to space to aid in the upcoming fighting, Char countered them by acquiring the assistance of Dren's patrol squadron. During the battle, the RX-78 Gundam struck Dren's Musai with the beam saber, creating a massive opening, causing Dren to be sent to his death by being sucked into space.
Another member of Shanghai Talent Limited, and she is a year younger than Julia and Ran. She is in love with Kaoru, but Kaoru prefers just teasing her endlessly. Haruna is easily embarrassed and occasionally becomes jealous of anyone who receives attention from Kaoru.
The owner of the Picaresque Beauty Salon. Kaoru used to be the hairdresser for the band ZLAY and claimed that she had sexual relations with one of the members, much to Julia's horror. She is a playful person and likes to stir up trouble, often going out of her way to make Julia and Ran upset. She is rather shocked that Ran is dense enough not to have any idea Julia is crazily and intensely in love with her. She seems to have a thing for Saeki, though most of this might just be her teasing. Kaoru often makes advances on Saeki, but is always pushed away. She seems to have some sort of entanglement with one of her customers, Haruna, although she does this to mercilessly tease the younger girl who clearly has a crush on Kaoru. For some reason, both Julia and Ran come to her for advice, though it's never useful and it rarely ever makes them feel better. It seems that Kaoru is amused at making them feel worse about their problems rather than fixing it for them. Kaoru is often smacked around by Saeki whenever she does something stupid. She is almost always cutting or styling Haruna's hair whenever she appears in a scene.
The sixteen-year-old main character of the manga. She is one of the top talents in the company "Shanghai Talent Limited". Because of that, she was initially jealous of Ran's potential, but eventually she fell in love with Ran. She can be very stubborn, exuberant, delusional and difficult, much to the annoyance of her manager, Saeki. She has a strong work ethic, going so far as to ensure that her career is never compromised due to her personal life. This is something which Ran admires. Julia envisions herself to be a lecherous wolf who needs to stay away from Ran lest she confess or act on her feelings. She is later shocked to realise, much to nobody else's surprise, that she is extremely incompetent when it comes to doing anything to or with Ran. She laments that she is the more submissive between the two of them. She is the president and sole member of the "We love love love Ran-Ran Fan Club". Julia suffers intense nosebleeds whenever Ran does something cute, when she thinks something perverted, and when Ran touches her. It gets to the point that she briefly considers medical help to stop her nose from bleeding so profusely. At the end of the series, Julia is no longer sixteen years old, but is turning eighteen. She cuts her hair short and continues working hard as an idol. She and Ran eventually form a steady relationship, but it seems despite growing up, Julia remains ever the idiot.
An egotistical actor who works alongside Julia for the filming of a school drama. He is very full of himself though he acts very nice to Julia. He has a crush on her and tries to woo her. He however gets hit in the face when Julia pushes him out of the way to run and greet Ran. Confused by being spurned, he tries to brush it off only to accidentally bump into Ryou. To add literal insult to injury, Ryou proceeds to belittle him and he skulks off, never to be seen again. As an ongoing gag, every time a character tries to remember him, his image becomes more distorted as nobody remembers him clearly. Ran seems to have been jealous of him after she assumed he and Julia were dating. The only title he goes by is "sensei" which was the character he plays in the TV show he and Julia were filming. Julia does not remember what his real name is either, and he himself says he has no name.
Julia's manager. She knows about Julia's romantic feelings toward Ran, and is often less than pleased with the awkward situations that those feelings often cause. She is normally calm, but Julia's outgoing attitude frustrates her to no end. Kaoru is in love with her, but Saeki sees those feelings as a nuisance. She is twenty-seven years old.
