On this island a man known as "S." and his troops train 100s of selective individuals to become zombie hunters. Toshio and all the others go through rigorous survival training in the jungles of Zombie Island to heighten their survival and combat skills. Toshio excels in the training being one of the few men who passed the training. During the training Toshio loses his left arm and right eye, which are later replaced with cybernetic parts. With his new cybernetic parts Toshio can now see infrared, as well as in the dark, also having more strength in his left arm. After his training Toshio decides to leave the island and not to become a zombie hunter. When he arrives to the airport, he meets up with his sister and girlfriend who haven't heard from him since he went disappearing. One day, when Toshio returns home, his sister and girlfriend are missing and there's some mysterious men in their place. Toshio tortures one to get the location of them, then heads there to find that his sister was murdered, and his girlfriend in now a zombie. After being forced to kill her to save his own life, Toshio returns to the island, and starts his new life as a zombie hunter.

Birthdate: November 22, 1981 Blood type: AB Mermaid Princess of the Indian Ocean and keeper of the orange pearl. She joins Gakuto in his quest to take over the marine world after an incident bestowed her a dark power, turning both her orange hair and her orange pearl pitch black (though her eyes stay orange) and destroying her own kingdom. That incident was a proposed rendezvous with Tar�, her secret human lover, in which he never showed up. (In the manga, he actually arrived before, but Sara's guardian found out about the relationship and insisted that he leave, convincing Sara that he had abandoned her.) In a fury, Sara unleashed a wave of power, destroying her kingdom and causing the wave which killed Kaito's parents and from which Lucia saved Kaito. In the manga, her villain name is Black Pearl Voice and she transforms into an idol in a black dress reminiscent of a diva. However, in the anime, she does not transform until she turns good, and instead has the power to sing offensively in a humanoid, amphibious form like the villains and mermaid idols, with or without her E-pitch. In the end, she decides to join the other mermaids as is her duty. She, herself, seals the gate to Gakto's castle in the book because it's her duty and she unsealed the gate after her kingdom was destroyed. In the TV show, Aqua Regina seals the gate and Sara goes with Gaito because she loves him. She also appears in the second season as a spirit, informing Lucia of the future Orange Pearl Voice and offering her assistance where she can. Sara is also seen singing with the other mermaid princesses in the very last episode of Mermaid Melody Pichi Pichi Pitch Pure.

Sara is first shown when Zed goes to Calm Hospital after taking Noa to be treated. He shows her a certain feathered pendulum that Noa had given him. She stares at the pendulum in a rather strange display of surprise. After Zed is later attacked by a teacher of Calm, who was actually a member of Task, Sara personally battles it out with him. This reveals that Sara herself is a shard caster and possesses a sense of duty to protect her son, or at least to get rid of this Task member. Most of this battle is not really shown because she never releases any spirit, but instead continuously threw fire shards. Though, Sara is later shown holding the body of this Task member, in which it can be assumed he is dead. After this, she appeared several times, showing up in strange places, watching as events unfolded. She's part the Seekers. The Seekers are after the key spirits so they can never be used by bad people. Sara actually wants only one thing, Amil Gaoul. She'll do everything to get him, even if it means killing her own son.
