Yuzuyu's friend at pre-school. Shouta is from the Cherry Blossom Group. He was constantly hit by his mother, until Shouta is hospitalized. Shouta's family states they are moving back to the suburbs, then leaves after a heart felt good-bye between Shouta and Yuzuyu.

Miki is Yuzuyu's cousin from her father's side. Volume Four of the manga is mostly Miki's story. Miki attended a prestigious school. She witnessed her teacher beating up a boy. When she told on her teacher everything backfired. She was harassed by her peers and teacher but refused to tell her parents. She tried to take Yuzuyu away from the Katakura residence in order to replace herself.

She first appears in chapter 23, Aya is the little sister of Akari Ooga, she goes to the same preschool as Yuzuyu. Though Aya does not appear in the anime adaptation of the manga, the character Namiko-chan who doesn't appear in the manga resembles her in appearance.

Satsuki is Kippei's younger brother. Even though he's younger than Kippei, he is more centered than Kippei. He's quiet and kind, and usually just stays in the background. Although he says he's not very good with kids, he gets along with Yuzuyu very well.
