Milly Thompson is a fellow Bernardelli agent and friend and assistant to Meryl. Despite physically towering over Meryl, Milly looks up to her and always refers to her as "senpai," or "Ma'am" in the English Version, as a term of respect for a senior. Although physically very strong, she appears rather simple and ditzy, but has an extremely kind heart and also reveals a strength of character and genuine optimism. However, Milly can be just as hotheaded as Meryl if someone is disrespectful towards their family (or wasting food, especially pudding). She can seem somewhat dim, but she has some amazing skills (chess playing, for one) which hint at a deeply buried intelligence. She does have a tendency to go a bit overboard when drinking. She seemed to pick up on the fact that Vash is the notorious Stampede before Meryl, but she is apparently still somewhat surprised upon realizing that she was correct. Milly comes from a very large family, and writes letters to them constantly (known as "The Milly Monthly"). Somehow Milly manages to hide a very heavy concussion gun (referred to as a "stun-gun") under her coat. The shots, which pop out into the shape of an X-shaped claw, are so powerful they can even knock over trucks. At one point Milly refers to herself as "Stun-gun Milly."

Milly enjoys teasing Shirley and is eager to discover Lelouch's weaknesses — enough so to rally the entire school into chasing after Arthur when she suspects the cat to hold something precious to him. She is secretly in love with Lelouch, but realizes the need to restore her family's status by marrying a noble. Marianne's assassination led to the family's nobility status being stripped. The Ashfords arrange for Milly to marry Earl Lloyd Asplund to restore it. After the events of the first season, Milly remains a student on campus because she failed her examinations, although it is noted that she did so on purpose to remain on campus with her friends. She eventually earns enough credits to graduate and becomes a weather forecaster on the local TV news. She also breaks off her engagement with Lloyd.

Ribi is the consul to Gen Province. Ribi was appointed a consul to Gen Province by Shoryu. While he informed her that her assignment was tantamount to giving up her life because she will be at the mercy of the provincial lords if anything should happen to her, she accepted and was honoured by the trust that the king had in her. Though she had been ranked relatively low, she had been chosen over Shoryu's advisor Shukou because of her calmer temperament. However, with Atsuyu's rebellion, she is arrested and imprisoned by the regent. When Enki is captured as well, she, Enki, and an infant are linked via a spell placing a stone and thread around their foreheads, so that if the thread is snapped on one person, the other person will die. Despite all of Enki's disparging remarks towards Shoryu, Ribi defends the king and tells Enki how she was appointed as consul to Gen and why he has distributed people he can trust into certain positions in the government. Ribi, as a competant and trusted official, was promoted to a high position but was sent to a far off post away from court politics that could be damaging to her. However, in order to free Enki from being a hostage and holding Shoryu back from acting against Atsuyu, she deliberately snaps the thread on Enki's forehead and sacrifices herself and the infant child.
