Kagome's grandfather. He is often covering for Kagome's absences at school with interesting excuses, which make Kagome's friends worry a lot about her. Grandpa is identified by his clothing as a traditional Japanese Shinto Priest, apparently the current custodian/guardian/caretaker/owner of the Higurashi Shrine which has been in the family for generations. He continually tries to inject some education of the history of the family shrine into everyday life—even to the point of discussing the "history of these pickles" much to Kagome's dismay.
Owner of Piccolo S.P.A., builder of seaplanes. He is protective of his granddaughter Fio, and constantly warns Porco Rosso to keep his hands to himself. Actually, he does trust Porco Rosso, and agreed that Fio should go with Porco Rosso for his fight with Curtis. His sons have all left Milan to look for work in other cities. The president of the Inui Group.He only has a grand daughter name Mikoto.In the beginning of the story it shows him weak with cancer and about to die.But later it shows that he got well again,because all of his cancer went to his last hair and fell off.Thus,being cancer free and normal again.
