He defines himself as an "ordinary person", opposed to the other heroes who are either genius fighters or Saints. At the age of ten, after that all the people around him were either killed or taken away by the cunning kyouma leader Tgurneu, he became the disciple of Atoro, an old warrior specialized in the hunt and killing of kyouma, from who he undertakes a really harsh training for eight years. From him, he learned how to fight cunningly, using everything like darts, smoke bombs, explosives, traps in order to bring down his opponents, as well as how to craft those tools, the weaknesses of every type of kyouma, and gained scientific knowledge as well. Due to the harsh 8 years of training, he's really resilient and faster than most of the other heroes. He usually wears four leather belts with a lot of little pouches which are full of those tools, and fight strategically, trying to bring his opponent's guard down and surprise him with his different tools. His main weapon is a short sword, used more often in order to parry his opponent's attacks rather than to attack his opponents. He takes pride in his method of fighting, saying that the strongest man on earth is someone who uses everything to bring down his opponent and win. He's also well aware that for an ordinary person, becoming the strongest man on earth can only be done with this kind of methods. Because of those methods, he's looked down by others who call his ways of fighting dirty and despicable. With Mora, he's one of the two heroes who usually try to calm down others when they start fighting. He usually tries to talk things out rather than fight himself as well, and among the heroes, is the character who trusts the others the most easily. Because of what happened in his village, he harbors a strong hatred for Tgurneu.

Sir Aaron is a legendary hero known as the Hero of the Wave. He was one of the major characters in Lucario and the Mystery of Mew. Sir Aaron is a knight of Cameran Palace. He is also an Aura Guardian, able to manipulate a type of energy known as Aura, which is why he is called the True Guardian of Aura. He taught Lucario, his student, how to use this energy as well. Because of this, the two become close friends. Lucario, however, still saw their relationship as one of master and servant. Aaron left the castle to stop a war between two unknown armies before they destroyed his kingdom. He found Lucario, whom he told that he was never going back to the castle. Lucario instantly jumps to the wrong conclusion: Aaron had left the kingdom for dead, and Aaron sealed him in his staff. Before he died to stop the war, he sent a message to Lucario using a time flower saying he was his friend and that he did not want Lucario to share the same fate he suffered. Aaron said, "Aura is with me," and restored Mew's power by sacrificing himself. Lucario did not know what had happened, and thought Aaron was abandoning the castle instead of saving it. Ash Ketchum has the same aura as Sir Aaron. Because of this, Lucario first mistook Ash for Aaron. Ash is also able to use the same powers as Aaron when he wears the special gloves that Aaron wore. Coincidentally, Ash dressed up exactly as he did in the tournament.

When they found Sid in the graveyard, he fought them by using his own gravestone as a substitute weapon to great effect. It was shown that Dr. Stein turned him into a zombie and thus was targeted by the Maka and Black Star's teams as part of their remedial lessons. It was later revealed to be a trick set up by Shinigami and Dr. Stein to show the students how to see and use soul energy (only Maka could see it after the assignment). Since then, Sid acts as a spy to get information on the witches and their plans. He constantly talks about how he has always been "that kind of man" (when he was alive) and the things he could not do when he was alive but now can since he's a zombie. During his time when he was alive, Sid was a three star meister and a knife meister. His job was taken over by Dr. Stein. He still goes to the school to help the student and teachers in any way he can. Sid's reason for helping the school is that it is what he would have done when he was alive. He is named after Pink Floyd's original frontman Syd Barrett. Attacks: Sid uses his own gravestone as a weapon or Nygus in her knife form. He is also capable of using Azusa to make sniper attacks. Living End: Sid's signature attack where he uses his gravestone to pound his opponent into the ground, creating an enormous cross of soul energy. It can be utilized on the ground as well as in the air. Compulsive Burial: Sid activates Soul Resonance with Nygus, then stabs her (in knife form) into the ground which causes coffins to appear below a person and act as an escape route.
