Utau's first Guardian Character that is seen is the conflict-loving, devilish girl, Il. She dislikes peace and becomes very bored if the current situation is peaceful. She tells El at one point that a Guardian Character that doesn't even Character Transforms is not needed. Soon after, El left Utau, and ll actually became so bored that she wanted El to return so she can tease her. She also tends to be very rude to others, in particular to Yukari Sanjo. This was shown when she called her a old woman when she's actually in her 20s. Her and El's names are usually pronounced "Iru" and "Eru". The name "Il" is also the last two letters of the word devIL. During Character Change with Il, a pair of bat wings sprout from Utau's back, making the melody that she sings pull out X Eggs. However, the amount of X-Eggs she can pull out is not large and the owners of these eggs have to hear her sing live. She can also use this Character Change to fly and send out a powerful wave of butterflies to attack. When Utau transforms with Il, she becomes the devil character Lunatic Charm. This represents the rougher, more cunning aspect of her. This transformation first appears in Episode 22 of the anime.

Machi is Ayane's older sister. She may look innocent, but she is actually something of a sadist. She enjoys torturing people with her voodoo doll -especially her little sister- enjoying their pained expressions. Whenever she has to get things done, she tends to use the most dangerous way to do so. She has a weakness though: her age. Machi is very sensitive about it so whenever someone calls her old, she gets a shock. Machi has an eye on Ikuto because of that, thinking she should be getting married soon.

He afflicted by an unspecified illness which prevents him from fulfilling his future aspiration to race professionally. After moving to Tokyo, he and Asuka are the first friends that Haruto finds and the three of them become extremely close, similar to the relationship Haruto has with Takashi and Akari in Hiroshima. As of chapter 89, it is revealed that he is Eba's current boyfriend, despite wanting to help Haruto win his girl back. After learning the truth, Haruto questions her motives and why she dumped him back then, and she tells him that she knew Kazama since middle school, but after Kazama confessed his love to her, she rejected him multiple times and moved to Hiroshima. After she moved back to Tokyo, Kazama confessed his love to Yuzuki to her again, only this time he revealed that he doesn't have much left to live, and wants to spend the little time he has with Eba. He chose to take a risky surgical procedure, thinking that if he can live longer he can still spend more time with Eba and prove to Haruto that Eba will still choose him. But even though the surgery was successful, his body cannot handle it and he dies shortly afterwards. Haruto wonders whether the fact that he and Kyousuke were competing for the same girl had actually ruined their friendship shortly after his death and wonders whether Kyousuke actually didnt like him deep down inside. But at the funeral, Kyousukes mother gives Haruto Kyousukes helmet, which she says he would have wanted Haruto to have. On the helmet a sticker is placed on the forehead, saying space reserved for Harutos restaurant and Haruto realizes that Kyousuke thought of him as a true friend as well. After Kazama's funeral, Eba, perhaps feeling guilty about inadvertently contributing to his death, tells Haruto that it is best that they never see each other.
