Originally around the same level of skill as Kagami, he has since apparently evolved to equal the members of the Generation of Miracles. Cold and perpetually collected, he is said to be willing to do anything to fulfill his objectives. Himuro has a strong bond with Kagami, because he was in fact Kagami's first friend after Kagami moved to the States. Kagami addresses Himuro as his big brother. They also share the same ring, which they always wears on their neck as a pendant. Later on, it's found out that Himuro's strength is his beautiful play; he could do fakes exceptionally well and almost never fails to fool his opponents.
Masako Araki (è�’木 é›…å� Araki Masako) is the coach of YÅ�sen High. Some time before the current timeline, Araki was a successful youth basketball player. She even made it as far as a regular on the national Japanese female basketball team. She was acquainted with the male team, which consisted of Kagetora, Takeuchi, Nakatani, Harasawa and Shirogane. After the Interhigh preliminaries, he and Iwamura retired from the Seiho basketball team. Kasuga is a kind and controlled person, who keeps his head cool at all times. He is respectful towards his teammates and towards his opponents. He is sportsmanlike and even acknowledged Seirin's strength after they won over Seiho, even when Seiho won last year. Skill: Kasuga has regular ball-handling skills, fitting to his position as point guard. In his play with Tsutomu Iwamura, a hard type player, he is a soft player.
Masaaki Nakatani is the coach of Shūtoku High School. When Masaaki and Kagetora met at the Winter Cup, it is revealed that the two know each other. They share some mutual past, as they called each other Tora and Ma-Boy.
