Hitoe is a shy and timid girl, who's a Selector. Her wish is to have friends. Her LRIG is Midoriko. Even though they are from different schools, Hitoe eventually becomes friends with Ruuko and Yuzuki, fulfilling her wish. After losing three battles, her wish becomes tainted. She loses all memories of her friendship with Ruuko and Yuzuki, and WIXOSS. Hitoe becomes unable to make friends and receives painful shocks whenever someone with any kind of positive affections touches her. She is actually the only one in the series that naturally overcomes the wish-reversal with the force of will, making it clear that there are actual flaws in the "selector system."
Iona is a senior student and a fashion model. She and Akira both work in the same modeling agency. Like Akira, she is also a WIXOSS Selector and has the ability to sense what a Selector's wish is. She considers any Selector who doesn't have any wishes as blasphemous and would not waste her time battling against them. Her LRIG card is Urisu. Her wish is to become the LRIG of a powerful Selector. When her wish is granted, she became Ruuko's LRIG, replacing Tama. She is one of the first two original LRIGs created by Mayu and also a part of Mayu herself. Her original name given to her by Mayu was Kuro. Later, Ruuko gave her the name Yuki.

The main character of the anime. Despite having no wish or drive to be an Eternal Girl, and being a complete beginner at the game, she was chosen as a selector. Her reason for battling is simply for the thrill and excitement from it. Ruuko is very caring and thoughtful to the others around her to the point she was willing to lose her battle with Yazuki and Hitoe in order for their wishes to come true. Her LRIG is Tama. At first she does not have any wishes. Later it is revealed that unknowingly she has been wishing to be able to play WIXOSS and battle other Selectors as she takes great joy from it. When the time to make has come though, her final wish was to be able to free the LRIGS from their cards to return them to their normal lives. In season 2, Iona replaces Tama as Ruuko's LRIG
Yuzuki goes to middle school with her twin brother Kazuki and friend Ruko. She befriends Ruko after seeing her in the canteen with a WIXOSS card. She is very impulsive in battle and tends to commit mistakes because of this behavior. She has feelings for Kazuki Kurebayashi, her twin brother, and to make such relationship possible, she battles in hopes of winning his affections. After seeing what happened to Hitoe she desperately wants to win her battles to avoid her wish taking a turn on her like it did on Hitoe. After challenging several Selectors, she wins her final battle and becomes the Eternal Girl. In the last episode, Yuzuki is freed from her card and becomes human again.
