Ama no Murakumo no Tsurugi (Sword of the Gathering Clouds of Heaven), also known as Kusanagi no Tsurugi (Grass-Cutting Sword), is a legendary black Japanese sword, and part of the Imperial Regalia of Japan. It was formerly the property of the former Heretic God Susanoo and considered a demigod. Ama no Murakumo no Tsurugi is a demi-god of Steel and has shown the Authority of Wind control, and the ability to enhance the wielder to a point where they can surpass the abilities of a Great Knight. It can also possess its wielder when they are in the Netherworld. It's suggested that both of these require the power of Divine Possession to accomplish though. Since its introduction, Ama no Murakumo has revealed the ability to adsorb Authorities, whether those of its wielder Godou, or those of an attacker, to provide power, and transform them into new abilities. After absorbing the power of wind from the Authority of Luo Hao, it granted Godou the power of shockwaves from his punches, when adsorbing lightning created from Godou's Authority, it developed immense magnetic powers, and other abilities. Atsumori is actually one of the nobles of Genji's enemy, Heike. He was rescued and protected by the Miko when found lay dying on the battlefield. Atsumori is a very quiet boy that keeps to himself. Atsumori joined the Genji side as a traitor to Heike to fulfill his dream, put an end to this war and destroy all the Onryou raised by Heike. Although Atsumori made the choice to betray his family for the good, he was constantly troubled and saddened when he was forced to put an end to the people he knew. Unfortunately, Atsumori never expressed the ache in his heart to the rest of the group and endured it all by himself.
The Great Dog Demon was a powerful yokai lord who ruled the Western Lands and was known throughout Japan. Never formally addressed with a name, he fathered two sons by two different mothers: Sesshomaru from his consort, an unnamed dog demoness, and InuYasha from a human woman (unnamed in the manga, but named "Izayoi" in the third movie). The Great Dog Demon is first mentioned in chapter 12 of the manga as InuYasha's father, "a demon dog that prowled the lands of the west". The Great Dog Demon's major foe in the manga was the dragon Ryuukotsusei, whom he could not kill but sealed onto a cliff face with his claw; Myouga calls this battle the "cause" of his death. The gateway to his tomb is hidden in a black pearl (a mystical gem that creates a path between the mortal and spirit worlds) inside InuYasha's right eye. Within the pearl, their father's body is shown as an enormous dog skeleton in a suit of armor: his true form, according to Myouga. The sword Tetsusaiga, forged from the Great Dog Demon's own fang, rests inside this cavernous skeleton, protected by a barrier that repels any non-human with malice toward humans. Because of this, InuYasha inherits the sword rather than Sesshomaru.

Makoto's mother. She had an affair with her Flamenco teacher, and Makoto saw them walking out of a love hotel together. That was one of the reasons he committed suicide.

A spirit from the Heian era of Japan and mentor of Hikaru Shindo. Sai continually plays Go in attempt to one day play the divine move (also known as the Hand of God). In the manga and anime, Sai had possessed the real-life figure Hon'inbo Shusaku and through his body, became a renowned Go player. Sai holds a rivalry towards Koyo Toya (a.k.a. Toya Meijin) and through Hikaru persuades Toya to have a game with him. His wish is realized when Toya accepts the challenge and plays a game through the Internet. After a legendary match that ends up with Sai's triumph, Hikaru discovers another move which would have turned the game around. Witnessing the maturity of Hikaru, Sai finds out that his one-thousand-year time in the world is going to finish and can't fulfill the wish of obtaining the divine move. A few days after the game with Toya Meijin, Sai suddenly disappears, neither terminating his last match with Hikaru nor saying goodbye to him. Sai leaves Hikaru forever, leaving Hikaru depressed and wanting to quit go. Hikaru then realizes that he will continue to play go for Sai since Sai influnenced him to play go. Extremely effeminate by today's standards (as is appropriate for a high-born Heian man), Sai is often drawn with traditionally feminine features and mannerisms. Yumi Hotta has joked about fans mistakenly calling him a "she" in the "intermission" pages of the manga. Sai's extremely emotional behavior is also proper for a Heian male; he sometimes cries copiously, soaking his long sleeves with tears, which in his own time would be respected as a sign of intelligence and sensitivity. His name Fujiwara indicates that he is related to a noble family of extremely high prestige in the Heian period, the Fujiwara clan.
