Hayao Kakizaki was born in Japan on 1991. He was assigned in the Vermilion Squadron under the command of Hikaru Ichijyo. He pilots a brown-white VF-1A Valkyrie in the television series and in The Super Dimension Fortress Macross: Do You Remember Love? movie, he pilots a green-striped VF-1A Valkyrie. Among the pilots of the Vermillion Squadron, Kakizaki is the least serious. His characterization adds to an already heavy laden humorous anime even more comic relief. He is portrayed also as being a laid back character, which often at times would endanger him while out battling the Zentradi. Compared to his teammates, Kakizaki is also the least experienced pilot, and from time-to-time, Hikaru and Max had to save him from being killed.
Hayao is a 30-year-old salaryman who has yet to lose his virginity. Due to his lack of personal skills he is resigned to using a blow-up wife to release his sexual tension. Hayao is the subject of Daigorou and Macaron's mission.

Meito Anizawa, also known as Anime Tenchou, is the manager of the Animate shop that Konata regularly visits; he was originally the mascot of Animate. He and his staff consider Konata their most valued customer known as "Legendary Girl A" and go to great lengths to sell to her. Their attempts usually fail miserably. His appearance is heavily stylized compared to the other characters, and he is known for his hot-blooded yelling and highly energetic movements and poses. OVER is the ruthless third member of "Four Heavenly Kings", the four elite members of Tsuru Tsurulina IV's Hair Hunting corp. (whom also includes Gunkan, Purupu and Halekulani) Unlike many Hair Hunters outside those seen much earlier in the series, OVER takes his job of ripping the hair out of the subjects of the Maruhage Empire extremely seriously and will treat all in his gaze as prey. This harshness for his job includes the treatment of his own teammates, as seen by his scalping of both Gunkan and Kitty Poo after their failures against Bo-bobo and the Hajike rebels. Although OVER can and will attack with little or no notice, he mostly controls his hair hunting activities from an ancient Japanese castle, where he controls a platoon of various ninja-like warriors including The Five Hidden Killers (dub: The Ultimate Five Assassins), who themselves are known for their stealth and abilities. He has noticeably long white hair and eyebrows with pointy ears and long chin. He wears a short black jacket that reveals his chest and white pants.
