Rei's classmate and boyfriend, he, Takashi, and Rei were among the first to try and escape the rampage at the school. On their way out of class he was bitten by an infected teacher and subsequently turned into one of "them" afterwards. Aware of his fate he instructed Takashi to kill him just as he turned. A brief bitterness between Rei and Takashi occursed as a result from his death. Toshimi Niki is a student at Fujimi Academy and the best friend of Mizusu Ichijou Durining the outbreak at school, Toshiki and Mizusu are first seen trying at escape while holding hands as a friendship. As they try to escape, one of them grabs her in near stars pull her behind and got bitten. Toshimi begs Mizusu to save her. But Mizusu refuses and kick her in the process
Shidou Kouichi's father and an influential politician. It was him that made Kouichi hold back Rei for a year to put pressure on her father, a police officer, who was investigating against him.
Souichiro's wife and Saya's mother. Yuriko was once a New York Stock Broker who later married her future husband after she was impressed with his charisma and political skills. Thanks to her business connections, the Takagi family fortune rises significantly. She is very faithful to her husband and loves her daughter very much. She was last seen with her husband and other survivors fighting against the horde that breach their estate.
He is the son of Chou, previous Emperor of Kou. He and his sister were the prince and princess of Kou. They elect to remove themselves from the Divine Registry after their father passes away and volunteered themselves into work brigades to help maintain the kingdom until the next king ascends.
