He is a manga-ka who writes mens' hentai/ecchi manga and is also very popular with his target audience. Seiji Yamada, the protagonist of Sensitive Pornograph, is quite shocked to find out Hanasaki-sensei is a man, since most of his fans (and fellow manga artists) think he's a girl, mostly due to his feminine looks and personality. Seiji is a huge fan of Sono Hanasaki's manga, adoring the cute girls and beautiful displays of eroticism in his work. He is also a fan of Seiji Yamada's work and eventually the two become lovers... instead of just work-mates. Sono Hanasaki is actually 32 years old, even though he doesn't look like it.
Sogo Aoyagi is a childhood friend of Jin's, who grew up at the Aoyagi Shrine. He currently lives in the Mikasa Shrine in Tokyo while he studies at college. They have known each other since they were young, due to the fact that their fathers are also good friends.<br><br>Sogo can often come off as self-centred, and is usually shown as this, in a number of situations, but he is also cowardly; especially when himself and Jin talk about Kogane, when they first meet her.<br><br>He attempts to lure Kogane into his grasp with a number of ploys; which include attempting to get her drunk, but these often backfire on him.
Rena was first seen in the Divine Design arc as one of Lucifer's chosen children. As Ramiel, her power was to trap human souls in dolls. She was defeated by Himiko and subsequently became Natsumi's colleague at the Honky Tonk. Previously depressed due to the loss of her father and her sexual abuses under her teacher, Rena perks up under the advice of Paul and tries to be a good helper at the cafe, though her coffee-making skills, among others, still leave much to be desired. However, since Paul's departure for Infinity Fortress, both she and Natsumi had proved themselves to be capable of handling the sudden surge in business at the cafe. Like Natsumi, all references to Rena were removed in the drama CDs, except for her involvement during the Divine Design arc (she was referred to as "Ramiel" here).
She is an amateur voice actress, though it is unsure why she chose this profession. She seems to have a quiet, shy personality who doesn't speak out much.
Hatsumi is Hazuki's adopted older sister and love interest, albeit Hazuki's love is one-sided. Hatsumi appears to be mute (though it is proven otherwise on several occasions) and communicates mostly through gestures and facial expressions. Despite being older, Hatsumi is much shorter and thinner than Hazuki. Childhood memory flash-backs show Hazuki as a small, sickly child who might not have lived if not for Hatsumi's care. Although it seems that Hazuki's love is one-sided, episode seven shows that Hatsumi does have feelings for Hazuki and was trying to express herself as best as she could with the knowledge that she cannot stay beyond her sixteenth birthday (suggestions of this were shown along the way by her sending Hazuki anonymous love letters — later expressed in full and in words toward the end of the anime). In the first episode, Hatsumi disappears in a burst of green light ("sÅ�ma") at midnight on her sixteenth birthday, as Hazuki tries to steal a kiss in her sleep. The events that follow lead Hazuki to a mysterious library in another dimension, in which all the worlds are kept in books. Hazuki learns from the Library guardian, Lilith, that Hatsumi is only one of the forms of the previous guardian (Eve), and that Eve stays in different books for fun until she turns sixteen.
Kogechibi lives in the library, and looks like a four-inch (102 mm) -tall Eve, though with different colored eyes. "Koge" refers to the one-eyed cloak that covers all of her but the eyes. In the game, when the main character is occupying "Koge", the girl is referred to as "O-chibi-chan" ("o" being an honorific and "chan" an endearment). Kogechibi's vocabulary is composed of unintellible sounds akin to baby talk. In the anime, she has a disturbing love of fireworks and can say a few words if they have something to do with explosives; she builds miniature catapults and launch platforms, and fills hollow fountain pens with gunpowder and uses them as bottle rockets. She plays a small part in the plot, but is mostly comic relief in the anime. In the game, it is revealed that the guardians "fragment" when they overexert themselves, and that the fragments take on a life of their own. Kogechibi is a fragment of Eve.
