So far he has sung an off-key solo (after chaining Mirajane to a wall) and not fought back when attacked by Shadow Gear or Laxus. He even protected Levy McGarden after Laxus Dreyar shot a blast of Lightning at her, showing that Jet and Droy were wrong about him, and he does want to make friends with the other members of Fairy Tail. Despite his cold personality, he has shown a humorous side of himself when he was shocked to see Mirajane transform her face to look like him, and when he failed to break Fried's magic enchantment. At the end of the Oracion Seis arc, he is shown to be upset when he realized that he's the only Dragon Slayer that doesn't have a cat as a partner. He then desperately tries to find a cat in the alleys, but ended up starving and becoming heavily exhausted. In Edolas, he fights against Pantherlily, and claims that, after defeating him, he will make him his cat. When they and all the Exceeds returned to Earthland, Pantherlily decided to stay in Fairy Tail and become Gajeel's cat. He is Levy's partner in the S-Class Test.

Myung grew up on the planet Eden with her two best friends Isamu Alva Dyson and Guld Goa Bowman. Singing was her passion, and her song "Voices" was a hit during her school's festival. She, Isamu and Guld were a love triangle that eventually exploded when Guld found Myung and Isamu having a tender moment, and ended with Guld assaulting his two friends. The trio broke up and Myung left Eden soon after. Years later, Myung returned to Eden as the producer for Sharon Apple, the computerized singer on tour. The secret was that Sharon Apple was incomplete. She had no emotions. Myung's real job was to supply these emotions. On Eden, Myung is shocked when she meets Isamu and Guld there, the two now pilots competing in the Super Nova Project. The reunion brings back the old rivalry between the two and feelings that Myung thought she had left behind. Before settling matters between her and her two suitors, she leaves Eden with Sharon Apple for Earth to celebrate the anniversary of the armistice between the humans and the Zentradi. There, the awakened Sharon Apple imprisons Myung so she can have free rein with Isamu and Guld. It also reveals Myung's love for Guld, but greater love for Isamu. Juvia made up 1/4th of the Phantom Lord's elite group, Element 4. She was sent by the guild master Jose, along with Sol, to go and capture Lucy and bring her back to him safely. Her magic seems to deal with water as she is able to control rain and other large bodies of water. In addition, her body is formed of water, leaving her intact and able to reform herself after attacks. Her nickname is also Juvia of the Sea, which correlates with her water controlling magic. When angry she can also control hot water. Juvia also often refers to herself in the 3rd person. Juvia has developed a deep love for Gray, and due to a misunderstanding, views Lucy as her rival in love. After being defeated by Gray, the rain above her finally clears up which she thought was beautiful. After the fight, her deep infatuation with Gray continues,and she secretly followed him when she was unsure of approaching him. In the Tower of Heaven arc, she mentions to Gray that she is now an independent mage once more, but Gray notes that she has probably has her eyes set on Fairy Tail. She is quite willing to do anything for him. When Juvia is upset rain surrounds her. She is the only member of the Element 4 to be shown after the Phantom Guild arc. However he shows great anger and annoyance when someone gets in the way of his fun.
