Age: 16 Birthday: May 15 Height: 162 cm Weight: 47 kg Blood type: A Ayumu Nishizawa is a girl from Hayate's school before he became a butler. She always had feelings for Hayate and is happy when he pays his old school a visit. She violently lashes out at anyone who badmouths her and Hayate, including a teacher who called Hayate a dropout because his parents had refunded all his school fees the day Hayate was sold. She confesses her feelings to Hayate, but Hayate rejects them after getting a vision of Nagi. Undeterred, she tries to talk to Hayate when she sees him a week later, but she runs into Nagi. She is shocked that, in terms of metaphoric strength, Nagi is a dragon while she is a hamster. Nishizawa retreats, vowing next time to bring a stronger hamster. She later challenges Nagi to karaoke, only to lose. In the anime, it is a running gag that she appears in every episode, usually for less than thirty seconds doing something entirely unrelated to the episode's plot, though always related to food. However, she is the only girl who has successfully confessed her love towards Hayate, which often places her in situations where she is alone with him. Most of the time she is shown eating something. Hinagiku and Ayumu made a challenge with one another—Either Ayumu finally made Hayate her boyfriend or Hinagiku manage to get Hayate to confess his love for her. Both had promised to encourage each other through. In season 3 she now lives in Nagi's boarding house as one of the tenants. (Source: Wikipedia)
Lida comes from privilege and excess, the heiress to an unbelievable fortune and a marriage match she cannot wait to consummate.
Age: 15-16 Birthday: March 3 Height: 161 cm Weight: 45 kg Blood type: O Hinagiku is the current student council president, and kendo club president at Hakuou Academy, the school that Nagi, Isumi, and eventually Hayate attends. She is fifteen (later sixteen) and is an expert with swords, specifically kendo. She first meets Hayate when he gets lost on the huge Hakuou campus and invites him to the top of the clocktower, where only student council elites are allowed. She allows Hayate to call her by her first name and also seems to be infatuated by Hayate and his attractive personality. Hinagiku is sometimes referred to as being rather masculine for a girl by other characters in the series. Miki suggests this is because Hinagiku is seen as being "cooler" than the boys, and the fact that she was rather domineering at a younger age. Her athleticism, competitiveness, and leadership position all also probably contribute to this view. Despite having such strong traits, Hinagiku is actually terrified of heights. It is later revealed that Hinagiku suffers from a past nearly identical to that of Hayate. She, along with her sister, had also been abandoned by their biological parents who left them with a debt of 80 million yen (approximately $660,000 US) shortly before Hinagiku's sixth birthday. Following this, her sister, Yukiji, managed to pay off the debt, and the two of them went to live with the Katsura family, as Mr. Katsura had been Yukiji's elementary school teacher. In episode 13 of Hayate no Gotoku Season 2, the final episode of 'Hinagiku Arc', Hinagiku finally realizes that she is deeply in love with Hayate. This is parallel to the manga at chapter 98. In the 4th season, she now resides at Nagi's dormitory as one of the tenants.
Age: 17 Height: 158 cm Weight: 42 kg Blood type: O Birthday: December 24 Likes: general housework, singing and karaoke, games (video games, chess, billiards), teasing people Dislikes: cockroaches Maria is Nagi's maid and surrogate older sister/mother, both appearing and acting in a manner more mature than people typical of her age. Because of this, even people near to her speak of her as if she is older than she really is, a pet peeve for her. A phrase she commonly responds back with is "I'm still a fresh seventeen year old." She is the character with the most common sense, although her sense of value in money is as bad as Nagi's, and appears to be the one in charge of everything in Nagi's manor, since everyone from the head butler to the SP either obeys or fears her (or both in some cases). She is highly intelligent, somewhat devious, good at general housework and likes games of all kinds, though she is Katsaridaphobic, meaning she is deathly afraid of cockroaches, which she refers to as "the dark life-form that exists in the kitchen and other places." She has also proved capable of self-defense techniques in times of need. She is, however, poor at disguises, as seen multiple times when she tries to spy on Hayate and Nagi and is recognized instantly. Maria also placed her mark in Hakuou by being the youngest student council president at the age of 10 in her first year. She is one of the only people mentioned to be smarter than Nagi, this is the reason why Nagi made Maria her only maid. She started off as Nagi's tutor. But although she is highly intelligent, she has no clue about the "normal life." Like for instance, on the manga, she didn't know that there are other trains than bullet trains. She has no last name because she was an orphan who was found next to the statue of St. Mary at a church, which is where she got her name. Not knowing anything about herself, her birthday was decided as December 24, the day she was found. She is the unfortunate one who always has to clean up everyone's messes. She has seen Hayate naked several times, and she sees the effect he has on other girls, many of whom are attracted to him for his kind nature although she has trouble determining if she herself is one of them due to her lack of first-hand experience with interpersonal attractions.
Age: 16 Birthday: November 11 Height: 168 cm Weight: 57 kg (Body fat ratio is under 10%) Blood type: A Likes: violin Dislikes: Kotetsu Segawa, anyone who hurts Nagi, his parents Hayate has had to work to support his parent's bad habits since the age of eight, always moving from job to job, as he is fired when he is discovered to be underage. Hayate's dad is unemployed and his mother is a compulsive gambler, which leads inevitably to their bankruptcy. Hayate is a very selfless and generous person, always trying to help others in need even if it means causing harm to himself. He is very independent and skilled in many things, i.e being a good cook, housekeeper, and he can even identify fake works of art with one glimpse (thanks to one of his father's con jobs in the past) among many others. He has super human strength, tremendous speed, retaliation, and endurance allowing him to do things which are normally impossible. However, Hayate is rather dense when it comes to love. His poor empathy is always troubling him as he always misunderstands the feelings of people around him like Nagi's feelings toward him. This is probably because of his innocent personality and inexperience with girl's thoughts and feelings. The characters in this series continually remark that Hayate looks poor and needy. He believes that everyone hates him, except children, though he doesn't think of children as being anything other than friends. He can also play the violin. Despite his terrible luck, Hayate lives up to the title of "combat butler" as he is proficient in repelling attacks from almost anything, including other butlers. Despite his long held belief that he is unfit to be in a relationship due to his financial struggles he has openly admitted to loving Athena. In Hayate no Gotoku! Cuties episode 8, he considers thinking about what would have happened if his parents weren't kidnapped by the "nice people" and he kept on attending the same school as Ayumu, which would have probably lead into him dating her. This hints that Hayate might have some feelings for Ayumu (Source: Hayate no Gotoku Wikia)
Age: 16 Birthday: June 21 Height: 157 cm Weight: 44 kg Blood type: A Hair color: purple Segawa Izumi is the chairman of her class. She is the younger fraternal twin sister of Kotetsu Segawa. Hayate saved her from an attack from a dog, which stole her doll, when they were young (Volume 17 flashback). She rewarded him with a kiss on his lips in return which got her father worried. They had never mentioned to each other about the incident since they first met in Haku Academy as time had blurred their image of each other during childhood. It is hinted in later chapters that she might have feelings for Hayate. In season 4, a running gag appeared in which Yukiji started to refer to her and two of her friends, Risa and Miki, as the "Three Idiots."
