During the battle between her forces and Nurarihyon's, he fought against Gyuki. His place has since been usurped by Minagoroshi Jizo, who rewrote the memories of the rest of Hagoromo Gitsune's forces to forget that the tengu was ever among them. As a means of revenge, the Great Tengu of Mount Kurama decides to prevent Nue's birth and strikes a deal with Gyuki in regards to Rikuo's training in Kyoto to assist in the process. However, when he begins to feel that the training is taking too long, he sends his underlings to retrieve Nenekirimaru on their own - which ultimately proves unsuccessful.
Ansem the Wise was a famous scientist and sage-king of Radiant Garden. To protect his people from the darkness, he and his apprentices performed research and experiments to study the heart, which resulted in the creation of the Heartless. Eventually, Ansem's apprentices were taken over by the darkness, and, when he decided to end the research, they banished him to the Realm of Darkness and Xehanort continued the research in his name.

Repede fights with daggers and is constantly carrying a pipe in his mouth, which is a memento of his previous owner, Niren Fedrock, who was killed during the events of the movie, Tales of Vesperia: The First Strike. Also in the movie, it is revealed that Repede is the son of Lambert, who Yuri was forced to kill after he got possessed by a monster. As a puppy, Repede already had developed a habit of carrying objects in his mouth, such as bones or sticks. Alexei Dinoia is Commandant of the Imperial Knights and serves as a major antagonist of Tales of Vesperia. In early part of the game, Alexei is the commandant of the Imperial Knights, without anyone other than Khroma knowing of his evil plans. His ambition took him to betraying the army and even still a lot of soldiers followed his beliefs. Flynn Scifo took his place after his death. At Zaude, the party finds Alexei in the deepest level, trying to figure out the formula to make it work. Alexei tries to escape to the top, but the party finally attacks and confronts him. Alexei is defeated, but while fighting the group, he was still analyzing Zaude. Alexei tries to activate it, only to be stopped by Yuri. Then, everyone witnesses the Adepaghos's arrival (in fact, the Shrine of Zaude wasn't a weapon like Alexei thought, but rather a barrier that the ancients used to seal away the Adepaghos, since they weren't able to destroy it ) and the death of Alexei, who was injured by Yuri and was crushed by an enormous piece of Apatheia. Alexei had tears in his eyes before he died. As expected from the Commandant of the Imperial Knights, Alexei is shown to be a formidable combatant and can be considered one of the hardest bosses in the game. He has an array of powerful Strike Artes, such as Ill Wind, Guardian Frost, Radiant Dragon, and Raging Ice Fang. Alexei is also known to have very dangerous spells like Tidal Wave and Holy Rain. But what is probably Alexei's most devastating attack is his Mystic Arte, Brilliant Cataclysm. Alexei transforms his sword into a shichishito. Then he throws it and hits one of his targets then it disappears. The sword reappears and hits the same target again. Finally the shichishito stabs the ground and a giant eruption of light damages the party.

She also spent much of her time reading books, allowing her to become knowledgeable in a wide range of fields. After traveling with Yuri for some time, she decides that she wants to continue her journey with him and the group in order to learn more about the world. Estelle is the heroine of Tales of Vesperia. She is a girl who mysteriously runs into Yuri in the castle. Her sheltered nature, and fantastic words and deeds often confuse people. She is very dedicated. Seeing someone hurt, she would try to cure them with her healing artes, paying no attention to herself. Her real name is Estellise. Estelle is a nickname given to her by Yuri. She is also surprised by the many things she encounters in the outside world. She enjoys reading books and takes the knowledge she gains from them very seriously.
