Maria is a 14 year old nun in training who was abandoned by her parents. One day, she receives a letter from "Gabriel" saying that she has one relative left alive that desperately needs her help, so she leaves the convent, with one clue, in search for this person. Along the way, she encounters many people that she helps, dangerous situations and obstacles, and finds love. Because Maria was raised in the convent, she is very ignorant of the outside world and is not even familiar with outside social interactions or the customs of the modern world. She has never watched television nor been to a circus. Due to this lack of knowledge, she finds herself in many difficult situations. There are some discrepancies as to Maria's age. Some references say 14, some say 16. Shoujo Magic's release states 14. However, Volume 1, Chapter 2, pg. 3 says 16.
An enemy of Strauss during the time of the Kingdom of the Night, known as "Infinite Cross Saverhagen" and is the only human Bridget ever considered to be near Strauss' level of skill. Saverhagen saw Strauss as the Red Rose of Disaster and sought to defeat him no matter what tricks she had to resort to. She eventually created the curse of the Black Swan and led an alliance of countries against the Kingdom of the Night, demanding Strauss' execution. Saverhagen was also responsible for creating the spell to seal away Adelheid when she went berserk and unleashed the Moonlight of Corrosion. Despite caring deeply for the children she adopted as wards, including Stella, her ruthless pragmatism caused her to do various despicable acts, such as kill Stella as a sacrifice to defeat Strauss.
A young girl who is traveling by herself.She loves + Anima and would love to meet one.When Cooro and the others first meet her,they think it would be bad to show her that they are + Anima.Later on,she is attacked by a pair of fugitives wearing wolf pelts.When Cooro saves her from them,she begins to follow him during his travels.She is strangely familiar to both Cooro and Igneous.
Elda Maaka's husband. He brought Carrera from the Armash family to be Henry's wife. James's family carried the duty of protecting every Psyche, or Fountain of life, from the Brownrick family. Originally James wanted to marry Cecilia Armash, Carrera's mother, but she denied him. This is why he brought Carerra to be Henry's wife, since the Psyche are found in Cecilia's bloodline.
Maria is a "cracker" meaning that he cracks dungeons in order to gather loot. He is always being tailed by a man named Azian who has a serious crush on him. Also, Marie is a boy and hates being mistaken as a girl. Maria is a part of the Zoo Guild and wields the sword Fake Consuming Inferno.
