It is also hinted that she holds some jealousy of Legato, commenting that Legato's lack of a number in the Gung-Ho Guns implies that Legato is on a whole other level from the Gung-Ho Guns, including Elendira herself. The previous Lord went into eternal sleep 500 years ago, along with the other clan leaders, in order to free the next generation of their duty as Nobles and live their lives as they wish. He believed that it was time for the Nobles to change and leave it to the next generation. He truly cared for his daughter’s welfare and wished for her to escape her fate as the Lord, since the Lord’s life is burdened by huge responsibilities. Gejutel said to Rai that the previous Lord had wished to see him one last time before going into eternal sleep, but that he was nowhere to be found. He seemed quite keen on making Rai the next Lord, asking him several times to become the next leader of the Nobles but Rai would constantly decline. However, the previous Lord insisted because he wanted Rai to escape being the Noblesse, who faces an even harder fate than the Lord.
