Because of his strong, optimistic personality and open, friendly demeanor, Vyse is a natural magnet for women and even some men. He attracts attention, welcome or otherwise, from many of the female characters of the game. Vyse fights with twin cutlasses, one used for offense and one used for defense. His moto is "'Impossible' is just a word to let people feel good about themselves when they quit."

Sumie is a youkai that had been sealed in the pot in the closet of one of the rooms in the onsen inn. She tricked Natsume to return her name, but she had malicious intentions to harm people around once she is freed.
