The male lead of the story. He is deeply infatuated with Yuuki and much of the series has him trying to confess to her. During the first several episodes, he comes into possession a pair of Yuuki's panties, which he spends time trying to return. Whenever he pictures Yuuki not wearing her panties or sees her naked, he has a tendency to get a nose bleed. When he finally confesses his love to Yuuki, she tells him she loves him...and everybody else. Yayoi, Sera, and Zero all harbor romantic feelings for him. When he was younger, he was accidentally hit by a falling spaceship and given a cyborg body. This allows him to transform into the warrior Cosmo Banchou, a parody of Tuxedo Kamen from Sailor Moon. The transformation is triggered whenever he experiences moments of intense sexual desire. By the end of the OVA, it appears he becomes engaged to Zero because of a galactic rule which may or maynot be true.
A twenty-five-year-old man on the run, being accused of a murder that he did not commit. He is interested in photography and takes pictures of everything he finds interesting, but never develops the film.
A rather eccentric, but intelligent high school student who tries committing suicide by jumping off of a building, only to be stopped after realizing that a man wearing a pair of white angel wings was taking pictures of him. He is then taken captive by the man, who is the fugitive Lee Hyuk-Soo, but finds himself willing to accompany him even after he was released as a hostage. He was picked on and avoided in school due to a malpractice case against his father, who is a doctor, concerning the performance of an illegal abortion on a minor which resulted in death. Because of the calamity that ensued, Han had to transfer schools several times, only to have the kids continue pick on him since his father was well-renowned. This drove him to try and commit suicide and run away with his kidnapper, Lee Hyuk-Soo.
Another freshman in the same class as Sumire. Generally poor at physical activities, she goes through several trial runs through various clubs before deciding to join the light music club as she feels it is where she can try her best. Like the kanji in her name, she is overly honest about her shortcomings. After reading up on music theory, she ends up having an advanced knowledge of music but lacks the ability to physically play it. She is a scholarship student originating from France and is of Korean descent. Myeonghwa is an internationally ranked mahjong player. Myeonghwa's playing style at the European mahjong championships earned her the nickname "The God of Wind". In her native French language, she is dubbed "venter", meaning "windy".
