Funco's best friend, who nicknames her Fucco due to a spelling mistake. She has an energetic personality and a foul mouth with Osaka dialect, but is very kind. She is very delicate to the point of requiring frequent maintenance and is picky on what she eats representing her namesake's unreliability. She is an American M16A4 assault rifle (her name stands for "16") and has a large number of fans, as she is usually photographed for the cover of specialized gun magazines and this cohere with the real M16 which is very famous around the world (Second to AK-47 in terms of production number; see Comparison of the AK-47 and M16). In non-combat action, she tends to rapidly alternate between bursts of activity and sudden rests, relating to her namesake's three-round burst fire only capacity. Another close friend of Funco. She is a Swiss SG 550 assault rifle. Her grades are top notch and she's an honor student, but a bit out of it at times. She sports exceptional firing accuracy at mid-range, and doesn't like to lose. She appears to have feelings for Funco and gets jealous when others get close to her. Developed in Switzerland, she's designed as a marksman rifle for long range fight. She can hit a target at 700m, because Switzerland is full of mountains. She's more effective with the semi-automatic shots, but she also can select burst or full auto. Nina is a classmate of Ayu. When Ayu first met her, she had lost her "magic computer," and as it turns out, Nina actually comes from another world called the Magic Kingdom! Nina is in fact, a magician, and with the help of her little computer, she can put enchantments on things and people. Although her intentions are usually very good, the results aren't all that magnificent... Nina is currently studying aboard at Ayu's school and lives with a host family (mix of magic and normal human marriage). Nina also has a cat pet, Rio, who can be turned into human form when taking a magic pill. Nina admires Ayu a lot and will do anything to try help her! Nina is also the first one to discover Kaji's true personality. She also likes to refer to herself in the third-person.

Genjo Sanzo appears in India, where he drains half the ocean to reveal a submerged fortress. He wields an extensible staff and can fly by floating on clouds. During the showdown, he manages to severely wound Nancy, but is defeated when an enraged Yomiko hurls thousands of index cards at him. He survives long enough to give Yomiko's book to Jean-Henri Fabre, but is then killed by Ikkyu Soujun.
