Height: 165cm Weight: 57 kg Chest: 89 cm Blood type: A Birthday: May 12 Zodiac Sign: Taurus Specialty: Super High-school Level Nurse Tsumiki is easily intimidated to the point of tears. She is a nervous girl who constantly worries over bothering people and stutters over words, even going as far to ask Hinata whether it would be alright to remember his name during her introduction. She is quick to conclude that she is disliked by those around her, and her fragile personality makes her an easy target for Hiyoko Saionji's cruelty. Tsumiki frequently offers to let herself be beaten up or to strip, showing that she'd do anything at all as long as people do not hate her. She is also clumsy and often somehow ends up in extremely embarrassing poses, all of which she apologizes repeatedly for. Tsumiki ends up getting the despair fever after tending to Komaeda in Chapter 3, and gets her memories back. After that, she kills both Mioda and Hiyoko. During the third trial, Tsumiki's ability as a Super High School Level Nurse backfires when Komaeda reveals that Mioda was not killed by hanging herself, but rather by being strangled according to the marks left on the rope. This reveals that Tsumiki lied when she did Mioda's autopsy, as she told everyone that Mioda died by hanging. It can be noted that during the first half of the third trial, Tsumiki's usual stutter has disappeared for the most part and her willingness to speak up has also increased. After she is suspected to be the culprit, her persona starts to crumble and her personality begins to hop between her usual shyness to a more hostile attitude or to a more sarcastic attitude. She tries multiple times to convince the jury that she is not the culprit, but her plan backfires when her points only lead to her digging her own grave. After she is voted guilty, she stops struggling and Komaeda reveals she succumbed to despair fever. Komaeda states that he will never be able to forgive her because she killed out of despair and not to escape the island, but Tsumiki argues that he is wrong and that she killed for the person she loves. In addition, she reveals that her despair fever brought her memories back, where she now remembers what happened during their time at Hope's Peak. Tsumiki claims that while she was genuinely shy and deeply feared hatred from others during their time on the island, she was always filled with despair and had an inner hostile / sarcastic side of her in real life. It can be noted that she was also deeply in love with Enoshima Junko and would do anything for her because the latter accepted her. In her final moment, Tsumiki claims that her friendship with everyone on the island is "just history," as they cannot remember their real personalities. Essentially, she is the first person to leave behind her hatred for the world and destroy her bonds with everyone before her execution.

It was revealed in Chapter 4 by Nagito Komaeda that Hajime was actually a reserve course student who had no talent whatsoever, and is not an Ultimate himself. Having been subjected to an experiment by Hope's Peak, Hajime became Izuru Kamukura, who is the Ultimate Hope with his immense talent. Izuru gets bored with everything within a short amount of time; he is far too superior than everyone else and does not see anyone as his equal. Izuru later joined the Remnants of Despair, and brought AI Junko to the Jabberwock Island; ultimately making him the mastermind behind the events of Dangan Ronpa 2. After Hajime fuses with Izuru to become a single entity, he retains all of Izuru's talents as well as the memories of both entities. In the Hope arc, Hajime and his classmates make an appearance and foiled Ryota Mitarai's plans in plunging the world with only hope. After convincing Ryota to join their ranks, Hajime and co return to Jabberwock Island. On his way back, Hajime reminiscences the memories he shared with Chiaki (AI Chiaki and the real life Chiaki). Although Hajime admits that he misses Chiaki and that it's painful to think about her departure, he decides that it's for the best that he think about her every now and then, after everything Chiaki has done to save Hajime.
Birthday: November 27 Height: 164 cm Weight: 42 kg Chest: 76 cm Blood type: AB Specialty: Super High-school Level Light Music Club VA: Ami Koshimizu At first, Mioda is a bit shocking in bold and unique personality and appearance. She seems to break the fourth wall a bit, referencing her own status as if she is aware that she's a video game character. Her hearing is quite good, unsurprising of her title as a SHSL light music club member. Mioda is one of the more upbeat people out of her classmates. When she gets upset, she seems to have a bit of a verbal tic. She speaks in the third person. In Chapter 3, she catches the despair fever and her personality changes: she becomes overly gullible, to the point of letting anyone do anything for her. She was later killed by Tsumiki by being strangled and then hanged.

Birthday: December 14 Height: 182 cm Weight: 74 kg Chest: 93 cm Blood Type: B Specialty: Super High-school Level Animal Breeder Gundam has a eccentric and rather dark personality. He claims that he has been blessed with the evil powers of the underworld, and he refers to everyone else as "pathetic human beings." Gundam is often lost in his own little world; he is often paying more attention to himself and his hamsters than the things that are going on around him. Gundam seriously cares about his animals, and he understands them better than he understands people. He has an informational website about breedings which he maintains carefully. Gundam kills Nekomaru Nidai in Chapter 4, trying to save his friends from starvation. He is executed by Monokuma when he is found guilty by Hajime Hinata.
Birthday: April 28 Height: 180 cm Weight: 65 kg Chest: 84 cm Blood type: O Specialty: Super High School-Level Luck Nagito has the title of Super High School-Level Luck. However, his luck resembles a curse disguised as a gift, as it's a constant turn between extreme 'good luck' and extreme 'bad luck'. Nagito first comes off a polite, meek and kind yet somewhat insecure boy. He attempts to be the team's conflict mediator and optimistic poster boy, often encouraging others to be hopeful and cooperate, but he isn't really taken seriously and is even made fun of by Hiyoko Saionji who considers his dramatic pep talks about hope and friendship embarrassing and lame. Nagito often appears unusually carefree, though he claims to be a pessimist. He seems to lack tact and can sometimes say things that seem awkward, strange or even unsettling, though he doesn't seem to realize this and acts like it's just normal casual talk. Despite this, he appears harmless, and Hajime Hinata even mentions that his bright smile is very comforting. He is generally quite submissive and a push-over with a self-depreciating attitude. He wants to avoid conflict and goes along with other people (even agreeing with Hiyoko when she makes fun of him), but at times he can also be more forceful. He is quick to scold Hajime when he's being too pessimistic or when he thought he was bullying Mikan Tsumiki. He is notably annoyed by Teruteru Hanamura's treatment of girls and decides to keep an eye on him to make sure he won't harass anyone. He is also the only one to stay with unconscious Hajime and expresses concern for his physical and mental well-being, even after Hajime told him to go away. Though friendly with everyone, he is mostly interested in spending time with Hajime and can even appear a bit clingy towards him. Hajime considers him a little annoying and maybe not the most reliable, but still a kind person. Nagito shows his true colors during the first trial as he is revealed to be obsessed with a twisted idea of "absolute hope". For him, hope is the absolute good and any deed done in the name of hope is okay, even killing. He believes that the world naturally includes constant clashes between two or more hopes and the "strong hope" will devour "weak hope" in means to live and survive (adoringly, he calls this process "poetry in motion"). In his opinion, the ordinary people, despair and weak hope are just stepladders for creating stronger hope and he has aversion for these things while simultaneously considering them necessary. He believes that the talented Ultimates are special kind of people by birth, capable of strengthening their own hopes by facing and beating despair (instead of being broken by it like weak, ordinary people), to the point of embodying hope and creating absolute hope that can overcome any despair. Like Hope's Peak Academy in general, Nagito strongly associates hope with talent and talent with worth. (Source: Danganronpa Wiki, edited)
