He is a student of Class 3-A of Fumizuki Academy. He is good friends with YÅ«saku, forming the "Tokonatsu duo". He has appeared in the OVA of the series along with Yuusaku, where he ate the sesame dumpling Himeji made and was hit twice with German Suplex. Although they spread some false rumors about Class 2-F's business, Akihisa and Yuuji managed to set them up by framing Shunpei as a pervert for making "lewd" moves in public. In the tournament, he, alongside Yuusaku, managed to face Akihisa and Yuuji in the finals tournament (and still wearing the bra Akihisa had put him). He cheated by throwing an eraser on Akihisa's shokanjuu as a distraction, giving him an advantage. Although the duo got the upper hand, they were defeated by the combined efforts of Akihisa and Yuuji. His shokanjuu wears a kimono under a coat with 6 feathers and wields a giant pipe. He and Yuusaku later appear in the second season.
Wattson resides in Mauville City and is an expert on Electric-type Pokémon; defeating Wattson will earn the trainer the Dynamo Badge. His English name is derived from watt, while his Japanese name is likely a reference toward Nikola Tesla. An old man, Wattson is almost always seen smiling. Inside his gym includes several electrical doors and trainers. Each door can be opened by stepping on a switch. His puzzle isn't very difficult, much less than the next Gym Leader, Flannery. After his defeat, he hands you TM34: Shockwave, an electric attack that is sure to hit. As shown in the Pokémon anime, Wattson always likes a good joke, as any visitors (gym challengers or not) take a roller coaster ride, ending up against a mechanical Raikou. Ash surprisingly defeats Wattson easily with just his Pikachu, which is unusual as Electric-type moves are not very effective against Electric-type Pokémon. Wattson then dejectedly plans to retire from his Gym Leader post but regains his fighting spirit after helping to defeat Team Rocket. It is revealed that Pikachu's electric attacks had been temporarily supercharged when he destroyed the mechanical Raikou, which allowed him to overwhelm Wattson's Pokémon. Ash, hoping to get a fair rematch, tries to return his Dynamo Badge and earn it back fairly, but Wattson asks him to keep it because Wattson realizes that he also needs to continue training. His training pays off, because he and Ash meet again later in the series and have a rematch, in which Wattson's Manectric defeats Ash's Torkaoal.
Teiei is a nyosen (female sage) who lives on Mount Hou. She is among the fifty oracles dedicated to caring and protecting the young kirin (a creature that chooses the ruler of each kingdom) that is born on the mountain. In The Twelve Kingdoms: Sea of Wind, she is the senior of the oracles on Mount Hou and acts as a mentor to Youka, the newest oracle on the mountain. She has been an oracle for hundreds of years, such that she is no longer certain of her age or how she became a nyosen. In spite of her appearance, she can be commanding, especially towards intruders appear on Mount Hou. She is the clerk of the decal shop Momoka visited while she was on an errand to get Miou's gun fixed. Due to some misunderstanding, she decorated the gun instead of Momoka's cellphone.
Tenken is the manifested spirit of Sajin Komamura's Zanpakut� that is seen during the anime-exclusive Zanpakut� Rebellion and the subsequent T�jū Campaign. Despite his mighty and intimidating appearance, he appears to be a very calm individual, having yet to lose his cool. According to Gonry�maru, Tenken seems to be incredibly shy, like his Shinigami wielder, which explains why he doesn't normally talk.
