Jean Pierre Polnareff is the second to last addition to the Crusaders, who joined after he fought and was defeated by Muhammad Avdol. Polnareff is the stereotypical "good-natured klutz". He is heroic and protective of those he loves, but is not very bright (although he has shown lots of cunning and strategy throughout the series). He is very impulsive and loud, and is quick to jump into action without considering the risk, character traits that have landed him in lots of trouble. However, he is sincerely dedicated to doing good, and is a good man who can watch his friends' backs. He also fancies himself as a ladies man, but his personality implies that he overestimates his actual prowess. Out of all the characters in the series, Polnareff is the one who has the least problems showing his feelings, and he adds a lot of humor and warmth to what would otherwise be a pretty cold team (Kakyoin and Jotaro in particular are very cold characters). Indeed, while he may sometimes be seen as the comic relief of the series, Polnareff's companions appreciate his good nature and trust him to help them win when a tough battle arrives. He went with Jotaro Kujo and Joseph Joestar to get revenge for his sister, who was raped and murdered by J. Geil. His Stand is the Silver Chariot. Ogata is one of Icchan's subordinates in the Angelic Layer control room and lab. Icchan often ensnares Ogata into situations that result in Ogata getting "penalized." These penalties involve a range of embarrassing or terrible things, such as having a live octopus being stuck down his pants or being made to eat spaghetti through his nose. Rokushou is a mysterious Medarot. An old stag beetle-type (or KWG-11237) Medarot who possesses the Kuwagata (stag-beetle) type medal. Almost always wearing a dirty old cloak, Rokushou appears to have no master, and he sporadically appears throughout the series, first appearing in episode ten when saving a small puppy from a river in a rainstorm. When Metabee asks for Rokushou's name, he simply replies 'My name is of no importance.' He later explains that it is the only thing that he still owns. He spends a lot of the series searching for his lost Medafighter. He offers words of wisdom and help to Ikki and Metabee in Robattles, however, he dislikes the idea of Robattling for fun. His main goal is to protect rare medals, such as his own, and all forms of life.

On a one-month trip to America he was trained by the US military contractor Blackwater USA which furthered his obsession over weapons. His crush on Saya is one-sided as he on occasion tries to ask her out only to be rejected. Before leaving the family mansion of Saya, her father entrusted her safety to him and Takashi. Saya Takagi has once mentioned that he and Takashi are the most likely to snap if things keep going the way they are. He's grown very attached to Alice with whom he is often around playing with.
