The protagonist of the story who had been possessed by a Magatsugami from the time when she was very young until she met the Better Fortune Research Organization who used their powers to defeat it. The Magatsugami gave her extremely bad luck, causing things to happen to her ranging from tripping and falling down staircases or stepping on and break her brand-new cell phone to having heavy objects fall on her or getting hit by a volleyball in gym class. After the Magatsugami was defeated, Amano's luck became far better but her clumsiness remained. She has a crush on Kikunosuke, but does not know the rule that the other female members of the club have: even though they all like him, they are not allowed to go out with him. After discovering the secret of the club, she asks to join and is unanimously rejected by all of the female members, but when she offers to be the manager Kikunosuke agrees while all of the others were discussing the idea. Roland is a legendary astronaut and Hachi's room mate on his time on the moon, after breaking his leg after saving a woman from a fire. Roland appears as a typical old man who thinks the youth gets things too easily, and is often seen crunching a squeezer. He was also Mr. Gigalt's sensei and teacher. He committed suicide by staying too long outside on the moon in a compression suit, because he believed his leukemia was going to keep him from going out in space again.
"Bloody Harry" was the leader of Brandon's original crew in Desolation Alley and was also his best friend. After five years with Millennion, he and Brandon climbed to the top of the organization's hierarchy, joining Big Daddy's "Family" and adopting the "Code of Iron," a philosophy of trust and loyalty to the organization; however, MacDowel took the Code lightly and made deals behind the organization's back, pulling strings and putting himself at the very top of Millennion. When Brandon discovered this and confronted Harry, he was murdered, but Harry had no idea of the future consequences of his betrayal. Although Harry lacks the physical strength and agility of Brandon, he is charismatic and extremely cunning. In the anime, it is portrayed how the guilt of murdering his best friend drives him close to madness. In the video game he is not fought directly, instead he summons Big Daddy, who had been transformed into a grotesque monster to eliminate Grave. Harry Ord is the head of Dianna's Royal Guard, and reports directly to the Queen herself. He pilots a distinctive gold-plated MRC-F20 SUMO and is easily one of the most skilled fighters in the series. An accomplished military strategist, Harry judges situations with a cool and rational demeanor. He is the only person who is readily able to distinguish between Kihel Heim and Dianna Soreil. Harry remains loyal to Dianna throughout the series. Though he falls in love with Kihel, his duty to the throne always comes first. He uses a large pair of red sunglasses to mask his true feelings.
