Kaji is in the same grade as Ayu and Nina, and is also the school idol. He is considered cool and always has a nice smile. All his fans are constantly giving him presents, and he even has admirers from the 3rd grade. However, this is only his outer mask. Kaji is in reality a normal guy who hates being given presents by people he doesn't know. But he is working hard on his "nice person" persona because the girl he likes, Ayu, once told him that's the way she liked him. He becomes closer to Nina after she discovers his deception. He is an introverted person, and doesn't like giving away his real feelings or thoughts. Kaji belongs to the school's baseball club. His best friend is Tsujiai.
Tsujiai is a classmate of Kaji, Ayu and Nina. He is the head of the male tennis club and is a slightly extravagant person. Ayu seems to hate him because at the start, he always managed to destroy her chances with Kaji one way or another. Tsujiai introduces Nina to Doraemon (which she loves). His best friend is Kaji and he likes Nina which is shown more in the manga than in the anime. He has a cat name Shinnosuke and is the third person to know that Nina was a magic girl because he saw that Rio the cat transforms into a human.
Kristoph's younger brother, a prosecutor, as well as lead vocalist and lead guitar for the rock band the Gavinners, made up of various people in law enforcement. In a stark contrast to the series' previous prosecutors, Klavier, despite being a perfectionist, does not strive for maintaining a perfect record in the courtroom, instead making sure that justice is duly served by working with the defense attorneys to achieve the proper verdict. Unlike the previous prosecutors from the series, who usually displayed outright contempt for Phoenix, he is quite civil to Apollo when they run into each other. Despite this, he nicknames Apollo "Herr Forehead" (in reference to a contradiction Apollo pointed out in court, as well as Apollo's forehead being quite prominent). He studied law in Germany, like Franziska von Karma, and often uses bits of German vocabulary in his speech. His name is derived from the German word "klavier", meaning piano. His style of dress reflects his rock star personality; the collar of his shirt is left open and he wears a chain-link belt and a large necklace bearing his last initial. He claims he wishes to keep himself simple, because the rest of the world is complicated. At the end of Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney, Klavier disbanded the Gavinners after their rhythm guitarist was convicted of murdering an Interpol agent. In the 3rd case of Ace Attorney Investigations, the Gavinner's logo appears in the stadium's stage. He often tries to tease his employee, Ema Skye, who calls him a "glimmerous fop". Student Number 31: Zazie Rainyday (ザジ・レイニーデイ, Zaji Reinīdei?) Birthday: 17 March 1989. The silent acrobat, and one of the most mysterious girls of the class. Nothing much is known about her, as she rarely associates with anybody, and even when she does, she rarely talks (she has spoken only eight times in the serialized manga thus far). What is known is that she is a member of the Nightmare Circus, the school's Acrobatic Club, and is seen directing a group of "monsters" or "spirits" (similar to No-Face from Spirited Away, the Angels from Neon Genesis Evangelion or possibly Hollows from Bleach) when she offered to cover for her classmates during the school festival, and gave Chao a tiny living dragon as a farewell gift. She also has been shown to see Sayo without the assistance of Negi or having a close relationship with her like Kazumi. According to Negi's Class Register, Zazie is also a member of the school's Magic Club, though whether this is real magic or stage conjuring is unknown. In the anime, she is shown to have proficiency in all kinds of circus tricks such as juggling, sleight of hand, and costume changing. She has dark skin, and has two particular face marks: a large teardrop under her left eye (strongly resembling the carnival character "pierro"), and a vertical line resembling a scar crossing the right side of her face. A splash picture of the cast shows her with claws growing from her fingers. She is sometimes seen with her pet bird, but more recently with her "friends" (the black spirit-monsters). So far, she is the least known of all the students in Negi's class and very little has been revealed about her. Zazie is one of the few students in Class 3-A who did not participate in Negi's sojourn to Wales and the Magical World. When Zazie's name is seen it is written in the Latin alphabet, rather than in Japanese. Similarly, Evangeline's name is also written with the Roman alphabet. This seems to indicate that, like Evangeline, Zazie isn't from Japan and is instead from a country which uses the Roman alphabet.
