Hikari is a girl whom Takeru finds in the forest and falls in love with in the first episode. Hikari also likes Takeru ever since they met as well.She is very cheerful and thinks that almost everything she sees is wonderful or incredible. However, not much is known about her. At some points during the series she has moments that a voice talks and makes everything sound depressing.

A rather shy and quiet girl most of the time, Hikari tends to not be very outspoken and it usually takes a lot for her to say what is really on her mind. Much like Nagisa Aoi, Hikari is also a transfer student, arriving at Spica in the second year. In that same year, she joined the St. Spica Choir (also known as the Saintly Chorus) with her best friend and roommate Yaya Nanto. Later, she starts to develop a crush on Amane Ootori, and they begin showing intense feelings of attraction for one another. She's a kind girl who always worries whether others are having fun. She is second place in 10th grade for best grades, but is sometimes lacking in common sense. Stubborn, proud, and hot-headed, Hikari never backs down from a challenge, especially one from Kei, as she is constantly looking for an opportunity to surpass him. She's good at everything except for cooking and teaching. Although she can handle her own in a fight (often against boys), Kei, nevetheless, gets irritated whenever she puts herself in danger, thus treating her more like a female than she does herself. Stupid when it comes to love, as Kei is in love with her and everyone knows except her...she is very dense. When Kei shows any affection to her, she usually regards it as a joke, or just plain scary. When Yahiro first told her Kei is in love with her, she first freaked out, then later laughed it off as an impossibility (since they "are rivals," it would be "too weird"). She is a student of St. Blossoms that has the look and the attitude of a princess. She doesn't seem to like Mizuki at all and humiliates her as often as she can.

Hitoshi Aoshima's little sister. Hikari is 11 years old and in the 5th grade.

She's a ditzy, impulsive girl who is really close to Tamaki, a guy that's very popular with the girls. When she gets confessed to by some random boy, Tamaki revealed to like her. She turns him down eventually and begs him to go back to childhood friends. Underneath the olive three, she tells him she wants to go out with him.
