The wife of Yasumori Mikiyasu. She invites Kirishiki Seishirou and Chizuru into her household, which resulted in her being bitten and eventual death. Because Nao loves her family very much (she was raised in a household of alcoholic parents, who left her when she was 6), she returns as a Shiki and kill her son Susumu, her husband Mikiyasu, her mother-in-law Setsuko and her father-in-law Tokujiro. However, none of them returns to life, and Nao then targets the Yasumori main house out of jealousy, killing her sister-in-law Junko. Nao is eventually tied outside unable to escape until the sun rises. When it does, she starts to burn with all the other Shiki. A human shows pity and puts her out of her misery while she's burning.
She is a member of the Tsurugi Clan who are a group of highly skilled assassin who operate behind the shadows, she fearless, proficient and extremely loyal to her clan's code, she doesn't talk a lot and often very laconic with her answers, she is identified by a large swallowtail butterfly mark on her left armpit. She used to work for the Palam Empire until her master was killed by the same people whom she worked for, she is wanted by the Palam Empire after she killed one of their own as her act of revenge, to complete her revenge she has to kill Jin Varrel who is the leader of the Palam Empire. She is the proprietress of "Tomon Inn," which serves as a saloon she is also a performer who performs in front of her loyal patrons. Though she may look like a refine lady who seems to be defenseless she is actually tough and a shrewd business woman who is always in the company of her two bouncers who serves both as her bodyguards and enforcers. Hazuki is one of her most well known patrons, not because she is a good paying customer, but because she frequently owes her a lot of debt which she has to pay it by to doing some odd jobs for her. Aiko is a girl one year older than Shinichir� who attends a different school than him. She is going out with his best friend Miyokichi Nobuse. But she may have feelings instead for Shinichir� hinted through a comment she made about if people can't become closer to the one they like, they'd like to get closer to the one closest to that someone . Aiko has known Shinichir� and Miyokichi since they were kids. She helps out at her family's Imagawayaki shop named Imagawayaki Ai-chan.
