The mother of the four famous Sugimoto sisters. She is at a more mature age than the other parents in the series, as she has three adult daughters and one who is in her last year at high school. Perhaps due to her age, she is wiser and less surprised by things. She is a little shocked when Yasuko announces that Fumi is her girlfriend, though most of this might have come from the news that her youngest is actually dating rather than the fact that they're both girls, as she quickly gets over her surprise. She is very open-minded and accepting as seen during the talk she, Shinako, Kazusa and Kuri have about the nature of Yasuko and Fumi's relationship. She even suggests rather casually that Yasuko might have already had sex with Fumi as far as they know (much to the exasperation and embarrassment of the elder daughters). It thus seems that Yasuko's lifestyle does not bother her. It appears that she was quite popular just as her daughters were back in her "glory days" and her daughters often make fun of her for regaling visitors with stories from her past, citing that she will take any opportunity to talk about her youth.
A ex-student of Fujigaya. She attended high school the same time that Sugimoto Kuri did. She was in love with Kuri and seemed certain that Kuri cared about her. However, she never confessed her feelings as she knew that Kuri only liked her as a friend. She ended up crying alone when she found out that Kuri was in love with someone. She remains friends with Kuri even after that, and keeps her unrequited feelings a secret.
A third year student of Fujigaya introduced at an unspecific chronology. She is about to graduate yet spends all her time following Yamashina-sensei around the campus. She boldly says that she loves Hinako and does not give up her romantic advances despite Hinako's rejection. Kawakubo seems pleased that Yamashina-sensei turns her down because they are teacher and student rather than because they are two women. She spends a lot of her time in the science lab with Yamashina and there she confides in her teacher. She reveals to Yamashina-sensei that she has come out to her parents and they took it badly, calling her "sick". She is very interested in Hinako's personal life as well, and only learns that her teacher once dated a woman also though she never elaborates further than that. Kawakubo eventually graduates, though it is a bitter moment for her as she leaves school without ever having her feelings for Hinako returned.

However, due to them both growing up and Haruka becoming more popular among the students, they have drifted apart over the years. Even so, it still seems as if they want to re-kindle their lost friendship. It is hinted that she has hidden feelings for Kazuya. Her route in the anime ends at Episode 6.
Her father used to be the manager of the large company, but now works as an inventor. She herself is poor and is always taking on a new job, because she gets fired for having to leave and fight monsters all the time. She transforms into the white bunny Valerian by using the "bracelet of the flower" which is attached to her left arm. She is the blond character, and is the leader of the team. Motegi is one of Fumi's friends at Matsuoka Girls' High School. She, Youko and Misako appear to be long-time friends giving one another the nicknames Mogi, Pon-chan and Yassan respectively. She belongs to the very tiny Drama Club and seems to enjoy theatrics. Mogi begins dating Akira's older brother Shinobu later on in the series after meeting him and spending time with him during a trip to Kyouko's villa during the summer.
