Leader of the gods and the strongest being ever. He's the only remaining ancient god alive from more than 100.000 years. 100.000 years ago in the war between the ancient gods and the ancient dark ones he was the strongest gods warrior and he defeated the ancient dark ones and chased them down to hell. The ancient gods' leader Pan Gu feared his power and ordered him executed. When Hei Long came back from chasing the dark ones he found his beloved wife, Bai Long, almost dead by the gods decree. In a burst of anger he killed his own race and murdered all the ancient gods except him and Bai Long. In the end he couldn't save her but he tried to collect enough blood crystals to revive her. He brought 10 chosen humans children, removed their souls, and put in them some transcendent vigor from the ancient gods, thus creating the new gods only to help him collect crystal. For a 100.000 years he stayed hidden in his cave to save Bai Long from any harm and collect the blood crystals needed to revive her.
The Great Fairy of Dragonflies. She's supposed to live only a very short time (14 days), - while she sings in the last seven days and nights of her life. She has beautiful voice. She is realy kind, she gives the Water Element to Link. Later Vaati curses her, turnig her into a moth, but giving her immortality. In the end the curse breaks, and she returns her original form.

The Count's previous identity was Edmond Dantès, a sailor who worked for the Morrel family's shipping company. Edmond was imprisoned in the Château d'If on false charges, and it was there that he met Gankutsuou (known as The Ruler of the Cave in Animax's English adaptation). In exchange for the strength and means to gain revenge, he allowed the cold-blooded demon to possess him. Because of Gankutsuou, he is afflicted with an odd condition which causes his body to be crystalline, revealing his bones and internal organs.
Presumed dead in Final Fantasy VII, Rufus returns in Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children. Infected with Geostigma, Rufus asks for Cloud's help to rebuild Shin-Ra. He also hides Jenova's head from Kadaj for most of the movie until he decides to reveal himself.
Marlene is Barret's adoptive daughter.
Barret is a playable character in Final Fantasy VII. In Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children, Tifa takes care of his daughter (Marlene) while he travels the world searching for energy sources alternative to Mako. He appears to help fight Bahamut Sin.
