During an attack from the Dorssia Military Pact Federation, he discovers a mysterious mecha called Valvrave, eventually becoming its pilot. Haruto always tried to avoid conflict, claiming that fighting is not the best way to deal with issues. However, when Haruto's childhood friend Sashinami Shouko was seemingly killed during the Dorssian invasion, it shows that Haruto has a vengeful side as he attempts to avenge Shouko (whom he thought died in the Dorssian attack) by piloting the Valvrave despite not knowing how to do so. Another Dorssian agent. He has a bright and violent personality. He is a mood maker of troops, although he can be easily provoked. His name means H9 in German. He secretly investigated Cain for who he is, but was found out by the latter for his eavesdropping and was eventually killed Unbeknownst to Cain. He had a special ear-ring that was able to record Cain's revelation, which X-eins later took possession of.
Another Dorssian agent. He is highly respectful of his boss Cain. His name means X1 in German. X-eins has proven to be a skilled tactician, able to find weaknesses in an enemy after only observing it in battle once developing countermeasures for future battles. His respect and loyalty for Cain was shattered when he found out who and what he is. After listening to H-neun's recording from his special earring, he also found out that it was Cain who killed H-nuen because he was getting close. Eventually, he died in Cain's hands after he failed to avenge H-neun's death.
This character is very carefree. He thinks that war is some sort of game, and he kills for the fun of it. His name means Q4 in German.
A 6th grade student and the Elementary School Board Chairman. The youngest son of the Imonoyama zaibatsu, the founders of Clamp School, he has inherited the family fondness of doing absurd things just for the sake of doing them. Nokoru has one of the top IQs in a school full of geniuses and NASA has been vying for the mind of the elementary schooler. He also has the unique ability to detect a lady in distress from two kilometers away. For this reason, he established the Clamp School Detective Agency, although this was also an incentive to get out of his Chairman duties. He is also the only one out of the three young detectives that doesn't play a sport.
Madoka is the other half of 2-C's first official couple. It seems that she has already experienced kissing before. She is really friendly towards others to the point of being really flirtatious. Her determination for anything she participates in, leads her to do whatever it takes to achieve her goal, even betraying her own boyfriend. Umedu Shigeo: Shigeo is her current boyfriend. Often she can be seen as the dominant partner in this relationship. She was the one to first initiate their first kiss. Her flirtatious attitude seems to cause some misunderstandings between her and Shigeo. Her determination sometimes gets in the way of their relationship such as shooting Shigeo during the survival game even when he said he had no interest in shooting her. The reason for shooting Shigeo was because she really wanted to don a maid uniform and participate in the Tea House.
