Birthdate: May 29 Zodiac: Gemini Height: 6'1" (186 cm) Weight: 74 kg Rank: Leader of the Arrancar Army Former Captain of Division 5 Former Vice Captain of Division 5 Zanpakuto: Kyouka Suigetsu Shikai command: Shatter Aizen is a polite, soft-spoken intellectual, often addressing his subordinates by their given names. He rarely shows any sign of alarm or distress and often has entire situations planned out well in advance. Whenever confronted, Aizen is casual and uncaring, attempting to draw out a conversation and make small talk, which often infuriates the one he is talking to. Aizen initially appeared to be a very kind, well-respected captain and was looked up to by many, especially his Lieutenant Momo Hinamori. Aizen spent much of his career in the 5th Division, eventually becoming its lieutenant under the former captain, Shinji Hirako. Shinji kept Aizen under his view during this time because he felt there was something dangerous about him. 100 years ago, Aizen's experiments on Soul Reaper/hollow hybrids involved using an unknown method to cause spirits to transform into hollows, eventually culminating in the creation of the Visoreds. He framed Urahara for the hollowfication process and forced him to leave Soul Society. During that time, Aizen met Gin Ichimaru and Kaname Tsen, and lured them to his side. Aizen became captain of the 5th Division later on, and Ichimaru became his lieutenant and right hand man. Ichimaru and Tsen later became captains of the 3rd and 9th Divisions, respectively, but remained loyal only to Aizen. According to Aizen, even when Hinamori was his lieutenant, he thought of no one but Gin as his subordinate. At some point, he also saw the potential of Momo Hinamori, Izuru Kira, and Renji Abarai, and took them all into his division. While Kira and Hinamori were obedient and loyal, becoming the lieutenants of the 3rd and 5th Divisions under Ichimaru and Aizen, respectively, Renji proved to be too rebellious and was transferred to the 11th Division (and later to the 6th, where he too became a lieutenant). When Ichigo Kurosaki and his friends invade Seireitei to rescue Rukia Kuchiki from execution, he manages to lay hands on the Hgyoku with an elaborate plan involving Rukia's execution and the attempts to rescue her, manipulating most of the other captains of Soul Society according to his will. After obtaining the Hgyoku, he declares his intentions openly. The principal antagonist of the series, he resides in Hueco Mundo together with Ichimaru and Tsen, commanding an army of Arrancar and Hollows, his ultimate goal being to overthrow Soul Society along with the Soul King and take his place as god of the world. Birthday: September 10 (Virgo) Height: 185 cm (6'1") Weight: 69 kg (152.1 lbs) Zanpakuto: Shinso Gin is fairly ordinary in terms of clothing, aside from the inside of his captain's cloak being a lime green color, and doesn't wear any unique items. His overall appearance, however, is not as normal: his eyes are constantly slitted, he is unusually thin, and he bears unusual silver hair which has a purple tint to it in the anime. He also keeps a wide smile most of the time, which he has only been known to wipe off on rare occasions. As Gin doesn't display any emotion while speaking combined with his use of sarcasm, he is distrusted by many, most notably Toshiro Hitsugaya and Rukia Kuchiki. Rukia once commented on how she felt like snakes were wrapping around her neck whenever Gin spoke. Kaname Tousen notes that Gin has a similar effect on just about everyone when explaining Wonderwice Margera's frightened reaction to Gin. In the anime, Gin speaks with a distinct Kyoto dialect, which is indirect and polite. His English dubbed voice is also formal and polite, but with a rather mocking and facetious undertone. Gin is often nicknamed "Kitsune" (Fox-Faced) from Ichigo. Not much is known about Gin's prior history, except that he once saved 10th Division Lieutenant Rangiku Matsumoto's life. They have been friends since then. Hence, Matsumoto is one of the few people Gin seems to truly care about. He graduated from Shinigami academy around the same time as Kisuke Urahara became a captain and was immediately given a seated position because he was hailed a genius, graduating in only a year at a very young age, this being the fasted graduation in history. It is also known that Gin served as the lieutenant of 5th Division Captain Sosuke Aizen before becoming captain of the 3rd Division and that he became captain at the same time as Byakuya Kuchiki. His true reason for joining Aizen was so that he could kill him one day. He once secretly observed Aizen stealing the souls of people from Rokongai, and understood almost instinctively that Aizen was a very dangerous man who had to be destroyed. During his second fight with Ichigo, Gin kept dropping bits of wisdom and advice, knowing that Ichigo stood no chance against Aizen, as long as he kept doubting his own abilities. After arriving in the soul society with Aizen during the "Fake Karakura Town" arc, Gin finally made his move and revealed the true name and power of his zanpakuto. However, though he appeared to be successful in taking the hogyoku from Aizen's chest, he underestimated the level at which Aizen had bonded with the hogyoku, and was quickly felled. Barely clinging to life, Gin lasted long enough for Rangiku to rush to his side, and died just after Ichigo shows up. Noting the look of resolve in his eyes, Gin says that he can finally die now and leave the rest to Ichigo.
An outrageous figure, Ganju wears a vest, scarf, bandana, and pair of goggles. He is often found with his gang, who all ride large boars. Ganju's boar is named Bonnie (affectionately referred to as Bonnie-chan). The omake sketch after episode 114 implies that Bonnie was accidentally cooked into a stew by Retsu Unohana during a friendly cookout including her, Ganju, and a few others from the 4th Division. Similar sketches have occurred in the series, but Bonnie is always shown alive and well by the next episode. Ganju possesses a deep hatred for shinigami, a hot temper, and a strong ego. Though he always acts tough, he has shown that he also has a softer side, easily being cowed by his older sister Kūkaku, and later develops an understanding to Ichigo Kurosaki with a relationship similar to Ichigo and Renji Abarai's. The fact that he is not particularly attractive is a running joke in the series, and rather than deny this fact he tends to talk around the subject, especially when Yumichika Ayasegawa makes note of it. Because of his brother's, Kaien Shiba, death at the hands of Rukia Kuchiki when he was still young, Ganju holds a grudge against all shinigami. This grudge is slow to dissipate even after he learns the truth of the incident. It is implied that after Kaien and his wife Miyako's death, the Shiba clan lost its status as one of the Noble Clans (which include the Kuchiki and Shihouin clans). There now remain only four Noble Clans, as the Shiba had been the fifth. Upon Ganju's introduction, he and Kūkaku are the only remaining members of the clan. Though Ganju is not a member of the shinigami forces, he is of the Shiba clan and can fight on a level above that of an average shinigami, but lower than that of the higher ranking seated officers. He has a zanpakut which resembles a meat cleaver or a Chinese Dadao, though he never demonstrates the ability to use its initial release. Ganju's sword skills are limited, so he relies primarily on his arsenal of fireworks, his agility, and his earth magic. Ganju's earth magic doesn't seem to operate on the same principle as standard shinigami kid. The one technique he uses, Stone Wave (石波, seppa?), doesn't need an incantation to work and is unnumbered. The spell can reduce whatever it is aimed at to sand or quicksand. He can even perform it with his feet. This ability proved to be useful to make holes through the walls when running away from Yumichika. Source: Wikipedia
Birthday: November 13 Height: 176 cm (5'9") Weight: 61 kg (134 lbs) Kaname Tousen was formerly the Captain of the 9th Division of the Gotei 13. As Captain of the 9th Division, which is charged with the editing of Seireitei Communication, Tousen was the chief editor of the journal. He himself wrote a serialization titled "The Path of Justice", which was not very popular, until he began to publish cooking recipes in his articles, which made them more popular among female Shinigami. This also indicates that his speciality is indeed cooking, his favorite dishes being chicken stewed with carrots and other sophisticated ones. He does not like pickled food. Tousen also has several unique relationships with the Arrancars. Tousen thinks of Grimmjow Jaegerjaquez in the same manner as Kenpachi Zaraki; a killing machine that will cause only more bloodshed in the world. Wonderweiss Margera seems to have a great affection towards him. Tousen explains that this is because they are both pure spirits, and that pure spirits tend to attract and follow each other. He was revealed as a co-conspirator working for Sousuke Aizen and left Soul Society along with him and Gin Ichimaru. He then became a Commander in Aizen's Army of Arrancar. The Soul Society ordeal put him at odds with his formerly closest friend Sajin Komamura, as well as his former Lieutenant in the 9th Division, Shuuhei Hisagi. Tousen's creed in life is to "take the path with the least bloodshed"; it was for this reason that he felt it necessary to follow Sousuke Aizen. Despite this, he knows of Aizen's plan to create the King's Key, which will require the deaths of thousands of innocent people. He was also willing to attack and kill members of his own division while acting as the 5th seat, including Hollowfying his own captain. Tousen, along with Gin Ichimaru was identified by Kenpachi Zaraki as being afraid of death, this is later confirmed with him saying he only feared being assimilated into the Shinigami culture and dying a pointless death. His own description of himself as a "pure being" when explaining why Wonderweiss Margela likes him shows degrees of pride and arrogance as well. Also, despite stating many times how much his friend loved the world, he himself never said so, and in fact hated the world that took away his friend.
A young girl who befriends Casshern, she manages to maintain her innocence despite growing up in a destroyed world. Despite witnessing Casshern mercilessly destroying a robot in order to save her, she continues to have faith in him. Being cared by Ohji, the two come across Casshern regularly, and witness his endeavors. Near the end of the anime, everyone except herself, Friender, and Casshern died. Ringo was devastated, but still grew up into a young woman, knowing and accepting death, waiting for Casshern's return. It is somehow hinted in her last encounter with Leda that she may have been the baby in Leda's womb. (Source: Wikipedia)
