Age: 45 Risa is Makoto's mother. She's one-half English and one-half Japanese (Makoto got his blond hair from his English grandmother). Her maiden name was Amano, which is the surname Makoto uses for his alias outside of home. Unlike her husband, she wants her children to make their own choices. Though she feels this way, she rarely intercedes for her children. When she heard the challenge between Makoto and his father, she had fainted from shock at the idea of her son dressing like a girl for the rest of his high school years and it is implied she grew ill as a result. Despite her frailty and mild demeanor, she can be quite fierce when she wishes to be, able to cow her husband with a single look. This ability is quite handy when she is forced to quite violently force her husband and her eldest daughter to reconcile with one another. (Source: Wikipedia)

Tsubaki is Makoto's second eldest sister, and she's 24 years old. She's a a biology teacher that comes to work at Makoto's and Ito's school under her father's orders to spy on him. Of all her other siblings, she does all that her father asks. She was the one who was able to ease his influence on the house when Sakura had left, and thus has a bit of a grudge towards her elder sister. Tsubaki is obsessed with Makoto (she has pictures of him all over her room walls), and so she too wants to bring him back home under the impression that she knows what is best for him as his older sister. During his younger years, he was very close to her, calling her "Tsubaki-chan" and it is clear that she still clings to the memories of him as a little boy. Strangely enough, she sends Makoto frilly dresses every so often, though she clearly disapproves of his bet with their father. She's a firm and straightforward person, with a frightening ability to lead, demonstrated when she trains her class to be ultimate athletes to win the inter-class athletic tournament. She has a bit of a shota complex, and was disappointed when she found out Ito was a girl. Tsubaki accidentally finds out about Ito and Makoto's relationship and orders Makoto to come home as his deal with his father was broken, but relents at Makoto's pleading. She backs off, on the condition that Ito and Makoto's class wins an inter-class athletic competition, which they narrowly lose. However, with Akane's help, they recreate a scene from Beauty and the Beast for Tsubaki and manage to persuade her that Makoto's passion for his acting is very real and that he and Ito love each other dearly. She finally promises not to tell their father and eventually leaves the school. She is the opposite of her older sister Sakura in that she has an obsession with pretty boys. Tsubaki means "camellia." Birthday: April 28 Height: 180 cm Weight: 65 kg Chest: 84 cm Blood type: O Specialty: Super High School-Level Luck Nagito has the title of Super High School-Level Luck. However, his luck resembles a curse disguised as a gift, as it's a constant turn between extreme 'good luck' and extreme 'bad luck'. Nagito first comes off a polite, meek and kind yet somewhat insecure boy. He attempts to be the team's conflict mediator and optimistic poster boy, often encouraging others to be hopeful and cooperate, but he isn't really taken seriously and is even made fun of by Hiyoko Saionji who considers his dramatic pep talks about hope and friendship embarrassing and lame. Nagito often appears unusually carefree, though he claims to be a pessimist. He seems to lack tact and can sometimes say things that seem awkward, strange or even unsettling, though he doesn't seem to realize this and acts like it's just normal casual talk. Despite this, he appears harmless, and Hajime Hinata even mentions that his bright smile is very comforting. He is generally quite submissive and a push-over with a self-depreciating attitude. He wants to avoid conflict and goes along with other people (even agreeing with Hiyoko when she makes fun of him), but at times he can also be more forceful. He is quick to scold Hajime when he's being too pessimistic or when he thought he was bullying Mikan Tsumiki. He is notably annoyed by Teruteru Hanamura's treatment of girls and decides to keep an eye on him to make sure he won't harass anyone. He is also the only one to stay with unconscious Hajime and expresses concern for his physical and mental well-being, even after Hajime told him to go away. Though friendly with everyone, he is mostly interested in spending time with Hajime and can even appear a bit clingy towards him. Hajime considers him a little annoying and maybe not the most reliable, but still a kind person. Nagito shows his true colors during the first trial as he is revealed to be obsessed with a twisted idea of "absolute hope". For him, hope is the absolute good and any deed done in the name of hope is okay, even killing. He believes that the world naturally includes constant clashes between two or more hopes and the "strong hope" will devour "weak hope" in means to live and survive (adoringly, he calls this process "poetry in motion"). In his opinion, the ordinary people, despair and weak hope are just stepladders for creating stronger hope and he has aversion for these things while simultaneously considering them necessary. He believes that the talented Ultimates are special kind of people by birth, capable of strengthening their own hopes by facing and beating despair (instead of being broken by it like weak, ordinary people), to the point of embodying hope and creating absolute hope that can overcome any despair. Like Hope's Peak Academy in general, Nagito strongly associates hope with talent and talent with worth. (Source: Danganronpa Wiki, edited)
