Even though Aone never smiles and seems serious and scary, he actually has a very kind heart. Futakuchi said that Aone has a habit of "locking on" to you if he knows his opponent is an ace.

He is also Tooru Oikawa's childhood best friend and "pillar". Iwaizumi is a stubborn but reliable teammate, often filling in Oikawa's spot as a morale booster if needed. He acts supportively to all, including Tobio Kageyama, and calls Oikawa out for his childish antics. He often resorts to violence with Oikawa, but this does not change the fact that he cares immensely for him, as shown when he makes an effort to stop Oikawa from either working too hard or losing confidence. Team: Aoba Josai High, Kitagawa Daiichi (former) Age: 15 Height: 189.2 cm Weight: 74.3 kg Birthday: June 6 Year: 1st year Position: Middle Blocker Middle blocker of the Aoba Josai High School volleyball club. He was Kageyama's teammate back in junior high school. Kindaichi was one of the players who hated Kageyama's selfish plays and refused to understand him. Kindaichi appears to be quite competitive and a bit stubborn. It took him a while before he finally accepted that Kageyama has changed and even when he did, he still didn't accept Kageyama's apology, choosing instead to stay as enemies. He seems to respect and admire the third years of his current team, specifically Oikawa.
