She is also the school’s top ranking valedictorian and student council president. In battle she wields one-handed swords such as rapiers and sabers. Her Personas excel at ice spells, and she is the most powerful offensive magic caster aside from the Main Character. Mitsuru has been battling Shadows for a long time. Upon discovering of the Main Character’s potential as a Persona-user, she, along with Ikutsuki, invites him into SEES. At the beginning of the game she stays behind as a Support character, offering analysis and advice. She joins the party in battle only after the discovery of Fuuka Yamagishi, whose analysis power is much stronger than Mitsuru's. Throughout the game, Mitsuru hides many details about Tartarus and the Dark Hour from the group, due to feelings of guilt over her family's involvement in the accident that created them. Since it was her grandfather who was responsible for everything, she feels that the problem rests on her shoulders. After Ikutsuki kills her father, she loses all her will to fight, since restoring the family honor is meaningless without a family. Fortunately, Mitsuru regains her resolve thanks to some intervention from Yukari. Mitsuru is one of the girls that Main Character can date over the course of the game. In order to attract such an ambitious young woman he must maximize his intellect statistic, and rank first in his class for at least one exam. If the player makes the correct choices, Mitsuru will fall in love with the Main Character, and the Main Character will help free her from some of the expectations attached to her family name. While Mitsuru herself has not made any sort of appearance in the anime sequel, Persona -trinity soul-, a young girl bearing an uncanny resemblance to her is shown in the first episode bringing one of her fingers up much like the Main Character did near the end of the game.

The count was once a strong war general and ruled his kingdom fairly, but after he found his wife in a large pagan orgy, he sacrificed her and became an Apostle of the God Hand. Afterwards, his kingdom was enveloped in darkness. The one light left in his life was his daughter, Theresa. Wikipedia: The Claw (his real name is never revealed) is a mastermind with a nasty looking prosthetic right claw hand and the primary antagonist of the series. He killed both Van's and Ray's wives, and is the subject of their furious lust for revenge. Later in the series it is revealed he plans to create a new world which supposedly will bring happiness to all people and eradicate all sins one has committed during life. Before episode 12, he is only shown in flashbacks as a shadowy figure with the claw hand. In episode 12 however, Wendy runs into a kind, old man who helps her in overcoming her sorrow for her brother. Immediately after the conservation, it is revealed that this man is the claw man when he abruptly screws on his claw hand, to Wendy's horror. His plan apparently is to change the world by dissolving himself and then combining with everyone and everything on the planet on a subconscious level, perhaps acting as a sort of conscience for people. It is never made clear what exactly would happen to civilization or to himself, nor how the process would occur. Though he denies any plans of world conquest, the fact of the matter is that his methods is a form of total dominance over free will and choice. The plan was also violently opposed by some of his crew members, claiming he was planning on committing genocide on the planet. In one of the episodes they attempt to commit a coup against him in order to force him into revealing the details for his plans. During the negotiations, the Claw Man seems to strongly prefer talk instead of violence, insisting that genocide is not part of his plans. This pacifism and goodwill can be debated, as he minutes later kills one of the rebels by hugging him (apparently of love) while slashing his back with his steel hand, thereby killing him. However, when he relinquishes him and discovers he is dead, he breaks into shock, saying "I did it again", and repeatedly apologizing, as if unaware of his embrace being lethal for the rebel. To realize his plans, he gathers a society of loyal and devoted followers (including Wendy's brother Michael and Van's mentor). Within this society he is only known as "The Comrade". He wears simple clothes most of the time, despite his high ranking. He also is shown to like gardening, and the company of animals. In general, he is shown to engage in creative and nurturing activities.

Fictional character in the Moomin world created by Tove Jansson. She appears as a ghostlike hill-shaped body with two cold staring eyes and a wide row of white shiny teeth. In the book Who Will Comfort Toffle?, it is mentioned that she has a tail, but it has never been seen. Wherever she stands, the ground below her freezes and plants and grass die. She leaves a trace of ice and snow when she walks the ground. Anything she touches will freeze and on one instance she froze a camp fire by sitting down on it. She seeks friendship and warmth, but she is declined by everyone and everything, leaving her in her cold cavern on top of the Lonely Mountains. The Groke is both a live representation of loneliness and a psychological depiction of very lonely people who have a hard time accepting and expressing love in the right way, making them seem cold and scary to others, which, in turn, only leads to more loneliness. The Index is a simple mechanical construct that acts as the physical embodiment of the table of contents belonging to the Book of Eibon. espite being of artificial fabrication, the Index still possesses a distinct and slightly eccentric personality, this often surfaces in his tendency to reply with the nonsense word "takonimo"*, when answering in the affirmative. Although he acts more like a passive observer to people entering the Book of Eibon, he seems to show some interest in people that likes books, as shown when he inquisitively asks Maka what type of book she likes. He dutifully fulfils his role as an index of the Book of Eibon, guiding the team of Spartoi through the Book of Eibon. The Index has a vaguely humanoid resemblance in regards to it's general shape but it is here that such similarities end. It's mechanized face comprises of a single curved triangular plate, attached to a substantially large cog, with the more commonly observed facial features being replaced instead by emotionally devoid simplistic swirl patternings. The remainder of the Index's body is concealed under a literal shroud, embellished with various words and a repeating pattern composed from squares and circles, except for the multiple small protrusions that act as it's fingers. To better function in it's role as a personification of the Book of Eibon's content page; the Index has an extensive knowledge of the book's current contents and, the specific individualities and express nature of each unique chapter that comprise the fundamental structure of the book, even in regards to the particular consequences one may face by entering them. The Index also exhibits the capability to exert a limited control over the interior realm in which it inhabits, most likely due to it's position and role as a rudimentary element of the book that contains it. The full extent of these abilities has yet to be observed but the Index has been displayed generating portals that can easily transfer multiple subjects from one segment of the book to another, although it should be noted that one can not simply "skim" to the final chapter and must instead grapple with the contents of the other chapters so as to progress in a linear manner to their concluding destination. Naturally, like many others, the Index cannot stand Excalibur to the extent that a grimace even appears in the center of his normally featureless face when in the presence of the Holy Sword. As an inhabitant of the book originally belonging to Eibon, there is a suggested but not stated strong connection between the two, as creator and creation. It was revealed that The Index is the book's intelligence was responsible for Noah's actions and his creator.He wants to collect the Kishin so he can teach the world about Eibon and his madness.This makes him the true Third Antagonist. * This word is derived from "Ikanimo", which is a way of saying "indeed" in Japanese but the word "ika" also means "squid". However, the Index incorrectly states the first syllable as tako ("octopus") instead of ika ("squid") resulting in the nonsense word, "takonimo", that it often uses. The Index bears some resemblance to a strange creature observed standing upon the shoulder of one of the Eight Powerful Warriors, seen in Chapter 16.
