In the first part, Benawi is the Samurai Leader of Kenashikourupe. When Hakuoro's rebellion overtakes Kenashikourupe, Benawi realizes defeat and kills the emperor, to spare him from possible torture and humiliation, then attempts suicide, but Hakuoro stops him, convincing to join him as his right-hand man. Benawi has a strong sense of responsibility to his country. He carries a calm and logical personality, but gets irritated when Hakuoro ignores the duties as a ruler. The main weapon of choice is a halberd, which he uses most effectively whilst riding. A man of convictions and morals, he believes that the people in a country should come first, and is not afraid to tell even an emperor when he believes they are making bad decisions. A cunning tactician, second only to Hakuro, Benawi is able to remain calm under pressure, and is able to adapt to unexpected changes during a battle. Of all the characters, Benawi seems the closest to normal human appearance, as his ears are never seen in the anime.

He has a selfish, wicked sense of justice, but he isn't entirely evil; Tendou is often shown in a sympathetic light. It is revealed that his mother was a descendant of the rogue Kodzunu clan, which revolted during the Bakumatsu when the Shogunate used force to take a girl with the Bodhisattva Eye from their family. Their clan ultimately lost and went into hiding. In modern time, when it was discovered by the Ryuuzu household that Tendou's mother was a descendant of the Kodzunu clan, his father's family locked her away, leading to Tendou developing a strong Oedipus complex. When Tendou (still Manabu) was fifteen, his mother committed suicide by hanging herself, and visions of her death still haunt him. Wanting revenge for his mother's unfair suffering, Tendou took an offer from a mysterious man named Munetaka Yagyuu, who granted him power. He then slaughtered the Ryuuzu family, and gave up his identity as Manabu. To avenge his mother, he set out to destroy everything by resurrecting the Kodzunu Kidou-shu (Demonical Horde) and gathering the 10 Sacred Treasures. His ultimate goal, however, is finding the Bodhisattva Eye... He is often seen with Marie Claire as both work for Yagyuu in causing chaos to disrupt the Dragon Stream, although Tendou openly states he only does what he pleases; he does not care for Yagyuu, which causes much bickering between Claire and himself. Tendou especially grows a strong hatred for Tatsuma Hiyuu, blaming his family for the destruction of the Kodzunu clan during the Edo period, and thus the death of his mother. The biggest discrepancy between the anime and original video game version of this character is the visual design, although his personality and reasons are inevitably different, as well. A dark medical ninja who sought to revive the demon god, Moryo. By allowing his spirit to take shelter within his own body, he and his minions sought out to kill the priestess Shion while they recovered Moryo's physical body. In the end, Moryo killed him just as Shion was about to finish the sealing ritual.
He commands all the Nodos except Age. He also appears to be Yuty and Peato's superior. It is later revealed that Romu Ro was present when the Golden Tribe withdrew from the galaxy, and personally "chased" after members of the Golden Tribe, demanding that they stay and continue teaching the Silver Tribe. Goemon is a hot-blooded man of Edo (Though in the anime given a more caring outlook). With a strong sense of justice and will, he will right whatever wrong there is in front of him, although he has a short temper. Also has a girlfriend Omitsu and best friends/partners with Ebisumaru. He is a major character in quite a few games, Hes favorite weapon of choice is a old style smoking pipe which in the anime shows up as a golden one but in a few of the games is also a wooden one and a silver one. Some say hes based on a real Japanese ninja called "shikawa Goemon" who is notable by being boiled alive after a failed attempt of killing a civil war-era warlord (Source: Wikipedia)
Luciano Bradley, also known as "Vampire of Britannia", is the Knight of Ten. A violent and confrontational man, he is fond of provoking others and attacking without provocation; several of the Knights of Rounds appear to dislike him. He shows little care for the lives he ends, be they friend or foe, as long as he can cause destruction. In fact, he fights battles specifically because it allows him to freely kill people in public. He claims to be a "homicide genius", and carries a number of large knives which he is adept at throwing. He is fiercely loyal to the Empire, but does as he pleases most of the time, even around members of the Imperial family. He pilots the Knightmare Frame Percival. Luciano commands a unit of personal bodyguards known as the Grausam Valkyrie Squadron, a quartet of young women between the age of 15 and 25 who pilot two-tone pink Vincents. Two of their members are Liliana Vergamon and Marika Soresi, sister of Kewell Soresi. Prior to their appointment to the Valkyrie Squadron, they served under Princess Cornelia. Luciano first appears shortly before the formation of the UFN; he throws a knife at Suzaku and then insults Euphemia. He later walks in on a conversation between Nunnally and Kallen, telling Kallen that she is to be used as a hostage, and threatens to harm her because her body is expendable so long as she is alive. Gino intervenes, and Luciano insults him by suggesting that his nobility is what allowed him to reach his position. During the second battle of Tokyo, Luciano destroys a number of the Black Knights' Knightmares and nearly kills Lelouch in tandem with the Grausam Valkyrie Squadron. All four Valkyrie pilots are subsequently killed by Kallen, followed by Luciano himself.
