Originally assumed to be two separate Diary users, Marco and Ai are in fact both the Seventh Diary user. When first introduced, Marco and Ai were using apprentice diaries which were assume by Yuki and his allies as their real Future diaries with Marco's The Unbeatable Brawler Diary predicting attacks before they happened, while Ai's Flirting Diary locates any man she wants to flirt in the future. Their real diaries is the Exchange Diaries which report each other's immediate future. The couple displays excellent teamwork as they use their diaries to cover each other's weaknesses. Marco and Ai are orphans who fell in love with each other after Ai was adopted by Kamado Ueshita, Marco's guardian. Their devotion is so strong that they want to win the game so they can become God and live for eternity together. Marco and Ai are named after the Roman gods Mars and Venus, respectively.

When Mirajane was an S-class mage, she was known as "The Demon." However, due to a past incident involving the death of her younger sister, Lisana, Mirajane somehow lost much of her magical ability and her will to fight. Given the recent event of Elfman regaining his lost abilities and Mirajane's increased confidence, Mirajane may someday regain her abilities and move forward with her life. Mirajane plays a motherly role within the guild, and is often seen running the bar at the guild hall. She has rarely been shown to be in a bad mood, and can tolerate all of the guild's eccentricities. However, there have been a couple events that have disturbed Mirajane, including her discovery of the stealing of an S-Class job by Natsu, Happy and Lucy, and her later disappointment with Laxus following the destruction of the guild building. Mirajane got her name from an online video game Hiro Mashima was playing while he created her.
As a child, Chiriko was a shy girl and a member of the Super Peace Busters. Now, she is enrolled at an elite school with Matsuyuki. Currently, she is ranked fourth in her class. She is serious, stoic, and cocky. Upon meeting with Naruko, Chiriko insults both her and her friends; however, she has since made amends with Naruko. While the other members of the Super Peace Busters have fallen apart, Chiriko and Matsuyuki have remained friends after Menma's death. Chiriko is shown to have feelings for Matsuyuki; however, he does not reciprocate her affection at first because he is still in love with Menma. Matsuyuki's heart belongs to Menma. He asks Naruko out and Chiriko overhears this conversation and is devastated. Chiriko and Matsuyuki are shown dating after Menma disappears.

As she was born into a family of nobles, Ridley was trained from a very young age to become a Radiata Knight and never had time for what most kids would call fun. Her father, Lord Jasne Colton, has a different last name because the Silverlake name is only held by those related by blood. She later receives a transpiritation ritual when she almost dies, and later becomes the vessel of the gold dragon Quasar, but doesn't fulfill this role on either path. On the Human Path, she is killed by Aphelion. On the Fairy Path, Jack pulls her away from Quasar's spirit.

A well-known pianist in the world who is gradually making a comeback. Rui takes a liking to Chiaki soon after meeting him. Rui's appearance in Chiaki's life results in Nodame becoming jealous as well as insecure in her ability to perform on a level that will fit Chiaki's, particularly as Rui's fame unintentionally thwarts several attempts for Nodame to perform with Chiaki. Rui eventually decides to study music in Paris, though is met with opposition from her well-meaning mother, who pressures Rui to perform in more public performances.
