Hajime was a complete otaku and always came to class with a sleepy expression. He was always bullied and was disliked by both of his male and female classmates for being close to their idol-like classmate Kaori. After wishing for his annoying classmates to be summoned to another world, the next thing he saw was they were on top of a pillar like structure in another world to become heroes. He obtained the job of "Synergist" and continued to be bullied due to also being weak in this new world. He eventually fell into an abyss due to being hit by a classmate's fireball where he survived though a hell-like environment to become the powerful man he is today. Hajime at the beginning of the story is said to have black hair and also has a slim body. He also had a kind face and attitude. But after falling in the abyss and eating a wolf-like monster, his body began to violently degenerate. When he drunk the sacred water, it made his body heal by destroying his bones and muscles then healing over and over again until he got a very muscular body due to overcompensation. Due to the stress of breaking and healing, his hair turned white, a victim of the Marie Antoinette syndrome. His eyes also turned red and his body gained tattoo-like red lines which is the sign of him becoming a demonic monster similar to the monsters he ate that also possessed red lines along their bodies. His personality was at first kind though he was considered incompetent. But after falling in the abyss, he became cruel and would kill any person who wants to cause him misfortune. He has spiky, dark hair that is combed to the back, with a few hairs sticking out at the front. He plays with jersey number 9. Narumi is very arrogant and overconfident in his abilities. As a way of concentration, he listens to heavy metal and reads porn magazines. His love for erotic women is further expressed when he heard Seirin had a female coach and he was disappointed when he saw Riko, expecting a sexy woman with nice curves. It seems that his tension on-court goes up when he knows a sexy woman is present, which didn't happen with Riko.
Makoto Narumi is a sergeant of the Japanese Imperial Demon Army and the leader of his squad in the Moon Demon Company. Narumi has long brown hair pulled back into a ponytail and brown eyes. His bangs frame his face. He has a mole under the outer corner of his right eye. He has heavy upper eyelids. He wears the standard JIDA uniform which consists of a long-sleeved black coat with light green details including the shoulder epaulettes which has a brown Sam Browne belt along with another strap crossing over his chest to form an X and two rows of gold buttons on the front; he has his sleeves rolled up. Along with that, he wears a pair of white gloves and a white web belt with a gold waist-plate. He also wears the uniform trousers and black boots which go over the trouser's leggings.

Becomes acquainted with Haruto after meeting him at a job fair and giving him her business card. They then meet up a few times to trade tips on finding jobs and attending interviews. She is a very focused individual as her whole town has great expectations of her and after finding a job, realizes she has no friends other than Haruto.
