3-3 Classmate. She appears to be very close to Nakao and Akazawa, especially. After Nakao dies during the trip to the beach, she becomes emotionally unstable. During the class trip, after listening to the tape left by Matsunaga she starts to think Mei is the dead one and goes on a rampage trying to kill her and encouraging the other class members to do so. She ends up getting choked and killed by a pillar and some strings that fell due to the collapse of the mansion. Akazawa is shocked when she realizes she's dead.

Raye Penber is an American Investigator from the FBI, who was sent to Japan along with 11 other FBI agents to track down Kira. Raye was assigned to investigate the Yagami family for any suspicious behavior; but eventually stops suspecting Light. Light staged a bus-jacking incident in order to obtain Raye's identity. Light, acting as if Raye were a part of the bus-jacking persuades Raye into revealing his FBI identification card. Raye shows Light, but is hesitant to do so. A week after the bus-jacking, Light acting as 'Kira' follows Raye and use him as a 'pawn' to track down the other 11 agents. He gives Raye an envelope containing sheets of paper, taken from the Death Note. Raye, unknowingly, writes the names of the other agents on the paper. Light kills Raye soon after. Before Raye dies, he sees Light, realizing that he is indeed Kira. Raye is engaged to a former FBI agent, Naomi Misora, who later attempts to investigate the 'Kira' case. (Source: Wikipedia)

He is the class officer for class 3-3, along with Yukari (and later Akazawa Izumi). Teshigawara is his childhood friend. Teshigawara thinks he is the dead person and got into fight with him at the balcony. Suddenly he fell from the balcony but he doesn't die. In the manga, he broke his leg but in the anime, he went to Mochizuki room with an angry expression, but after that he went missing. Kazami believed that Kouichi is the dead one and goes insane, killing Anzu and Aki from behind. Later, when he tries to kill Kouichi saying that because of him Yukari is dead, Izumi knocked him out with an iron rod. She says he doesn't deserve to live as he killed two classmates, and when she's about to kill him saying that now he can follow Yukari in death, Izumi is stopped by Chibiki. Mochizuki is a student at Yomiyama North Middle School, 9th Grade Class 3. He is a member of the art club.

Yukari Sakuragi is one the class officers, the other being Kazami, of Yomiyama North Middle School's 9th grade class. After hearing an important message from a teacher, she takes her umbrella and runs out of the classroom. After seeing Sakakibara with Misaki standing in the hallway she runs to the opposite direction. She runs downstairs and slips. Her umbrella falls out of her hand and she falls on it with her throat being pierced by the iron point of her umbrella and dies a few seconds later. We find out later on that her mother died on the same day, which could have been the reason why Sakuragi had left the classroom. Yukari's appearance in the manga is completely different from her appearance in the anime. In the manga, she has straight black hair. However, in the anime, she has curly brown hair.
