Yuujirou has difficulty keeping Eiji in line, but prides himself on finding such a talented Mangaka. Due to his success, he later becomes a team leader. On hearing Takagi and Mashiro talking about drawing manga on the subway and finding an abandoned copy of Jack, he quit his job to be a mangaka because he thought it would be less work for him. He is a different kind of genius compared to Eiji because he is talented even though he just started to write manga more in of a spur of the moment. After teaching himself to draw manga in a very short amount of time, his manga, Otters 11 is serialized. He is hailed as a genius by Koji Yoshida who pushed for his serialization saying that Hiramaru had no real motivation to continue as a mangaka and failure would just make him quit. Hiramaru is extremely lazy and immediately regrets getting serialized due to the amount of work to keep up a weekly series. He has said that he doesn't know why people have to work for a living and that he wants to sleep when he's tired and to eat when he's hungry. Due to his laziness, his editor, Koji Yoshida, often schemes to manipulate Hiramaru into working. Hiramura often tries to escape Yoshida to avoid working. His attempts to escape Yoshida is a long-running gag in the manga. He is also a chronic hypochondriac and often makes incredible claims of illness. However, he is always proven healthy by the doctors. It's mostly believed that his "illnesses" are not only a product of his own fears, but also serves as an excuse to avoid work. Hiramaru has a huge crush on Aoki Yuriko. Yoshida bribes him into doing work by giving him weekly facts about Aoki. Yoshida also often depicts dramatic scenarios of Aoki rejecting him due to his laziness or inability to produce names to energize him to work hard. Because he can't stand the idea of losing Aoki in his life, a combination of his own anxiety and Hiramaru's end-game scenarios, he works feverishly in hopes his work will earn Aoki's heart. Eventually, he gets engaged to her in Chapter 160.
Age: 15 (debut), 26 (end) Birthdate: November 3, 1992 Eiji Nizuma is a high school genius mangaka who has been drawing ever since he was young. Moritaka Mashiro and Akito Takagi consider him their rival. He was supposed to serialize a manga called Yellow Hit but he wanted to draw a different manga, Crow, which appeared in Akamaru Jump instead. His assisants were initially Nakai and Fukuda (Mashiro also worked for him temporarily before Detective Trap was serialized). His editor is Hattori Yujiro. He once demanded to be allowed to end one series he hated if he ever made it as the most popular author in Jump. Niizuma is slightly naive, but can also be serious and calculating when he wants to. Eiji tends to act conceited because he is hailed as a genius; however, after working on Crow for quite a long time, he grew more humble, even claiming to not be "good enough of a Mangaka to be judging other people's work" when asked by his editor to judge for the Golden Future Cup. (He judges anyway, but is not very helpful, only expressing his interest in Ashirogi and Ryu Shizuka). He tends to make noises and sound effects when drawing or writing his manga. Eiji is constantly chastised by his editor, and at first seems to be rather oblivious toward his rivals' feelings toward him, even expressing great excitement when he meets Ashirogi Muto and saying he is their fan. He is a great lover of manga and his opinion are valued by everyone at Jump, including his rivals. He refers to himself as an "Eternal Boy" and that is why he writes Shonen manga. He has only ever had a crush on one girl, back in elementary school, which paired with his naïveté most likely explains his lack of success in the Super Leaders' Love Fest.
Age: 24 (currently) Birthday: June 9, 1994 He is an assistant to Ashirogi Muto when they publish Perfect Crime Party. He is a year younger than Mashiro and Takagi. After he became a finalist in the Tezuka Award he decided to drop out of design school and concentrate on manga. Moriya seems polite but it is revealed in his thoughts he has a very negative view on others. He can be quite snippy at times. Tokimi is one of three beings known as Chousin - higher-level dimensional beings, the other two are her sisters Tsunami and Washu. All three sisters had wrestled for countless millennia over one question - was it possible that a being more powerful than themselves can be created. While Tsunami and Washu took separate paths to find out that question, Tokimi had remained in the Chousin's home dimension. With the assistance of the guardians of other dimensions, D3 being one of them, she manipulated random subspace fields to find out if doing that was possible. She had also enlisted others in her quest, like Dr. Clay. One of those manipulations had produced promising results: during a space battle, the being known as Z had gained immense power, which included the Lighthawk wings. In order to study him more closely, Tokimi had taken Z as her servant. However, she had found that Z was erratic and hot-headed; most likely he would destroy the universe is left unchecked. So she continued her quest until a message from Dr. Clay had led her back to her departed sisters... and someone they were watching, someone else who also had the power of the Lighthawk wings - Tenchi Masaki. Intrigued, she ordered Z to observe Tenchi but not to interfere. Z, however, saw Tenchi as a threat to him, and initiated steps to have the boy killed, but made it appear to look like someone else had did it. He had altered a message Mihoshi had sent to her family, which her grandfather Minami had sent her brother Misao to kill Tenchi. But when that plan failed, Z took matters into his own hands, the end results having Earth nearly destroyed and Z fighting Tenchi near Saturn. It was just as Z was about to strike a fatal blow when Tokimi finally intervened. However, Z was also prepared. He had enlisted the aid of a being known as 'The Counter-Actor', which had two forms - a red ring which had surrounded Tenchi, preventing Tokimi from offering aid to him. Later, when the rest of the Chousin sisters were called upon to contain Tenchi's out-of-control energies, the Counter-Actor took a different form - a demonic version of Empress Misaki, and in this form, the Counter-Actor strangled Tokimi. However, Tenchi was able to regain control of his power and calmed the Counter-Actor before Tokimi was killed. Later, when Misao and Minami Kuramitsu and Mashisu were called by Mikami Kuramitsu for their part in trying to kill Tenchi that Tokimi showed another form... that of a small child. Tokimi had to leave in order to set right abnormalities in the universe, but returned to the Masaki home just in time for the wedding of Nobuyuki and Rea Masaki. Tokimi also used her powers when it was discovered that some of Noike's cells were tampered with... they all had the logo of Dr. Clay on them. The source of this was that within Noike was the little girl that had haunted her dreams. Tokimi had removed the girl from Noike and Washu removed Dr. Clay's tampering. It also turned out that the little girl was actually the discarded female half of Kagato. After it was done, Tokimi returned her to Noike. It is uncertain if Tokimi will remain with the Masaki clan. While she longs to see them both again, Tsunade ultimately is unable to bring herself to help Orochimaru, his hopes of destroying Konoha too strong to ignore. Determined to protect the village her loved ones held dear until the end of their lives, Tsunade battles with Orochimaru and eventually defeats him. Having accepted the title of Fifth Hokage, Tsunade returns to Konoha afterwards. Since becoming Hokage, Tsunade has primarily acted as a source of assignments, and mobilizes Konoha's forces when need be. In addition, Tsunade plays a large role in healing the more severe injuries that befall upon those she sends on missions. At the end of Part I, Haruno Sakura becomes Tsunade's apprentice. Tsunade's trademark ability is her inhuman strength, which is derived from her excellent chakra control. By storing chakra and releasing it at the point of contact, she can enhance her strength to the point where she can break through boulders with her bare hands. She is also an extremely talented Medical-nin, and can heal wounds that most others would consider impossible. As a result of her chakra control and her medical abilities, Tsunade has created a form of regeneration. So she really is near 50 years old, but looks like she were in her twenties.

Aside from her dayjob as a weather girl and a reporter, she also serves as an Onmyouji during nighttime. Usually jolly and cheerful, she had a moment of notable change in her personality after she married Shirino Douman, during which time she would become weaker every day and sit alone on the porch of their house, gazing into the sky. It is hinted that it wasn't the marriage itself that was the reason her personality changed so much, as there were various flashbacks where she got along well with Douman in her childhood, but rather that she had to quit her dayjob. However, after they had been divorced and she returned to her position as a weather lady, she became her old self again. Later on, she would hire the Yorozuya when the Shirino clan used sorcery to alter the weather, so that her weather reports all became wrong, as seen in the Exorcist Chapter.
