Belongs to the: Tea Ceremony Club, Go Club Chachamaru Karakuri is student number ten in the class. She is a two-year-old robot created by Satomi Hakase to serve Evangeline and protect her during time where the spell binding her weakens her. She is initially without any real emotions, but after spending time around Negi, she begins to have feelings for him, and show emotions, such as embarrassment when the crush is brought up, her internal gears increasing in speed during moments where a human's heart would beat faster, and even leaking laser fluid from her eyes when she's upset. These feelings go against her original programming, which excites Hakase. She spends most of her free time helping people and rescuing stray animals. She strongly fears the idea that she is nothing more than a soulless doll and that she does not have a soul; however, during the Governor's ball in the Magic world she forms a pactio with Negi (in Nagi form) which appears to have a cat theme, proving that she does indeed have a soul; as Pactio contracts can only be formed between those with true souls. Chachamaru's body is powered by an internal spring combined with magic, and it has to be wound with a key by someone with magical energy to power her. The actual winding process is apparently pleasurable and/or arousing, although too much magic can intensify the feeling to uncomfortable levels. She is skilled in hand to hand combat, and she is equipped with rocket fists, laser emitters, magic-powered thrusters that can allow her to fly for fifteen minutes, and a tool to undo binding circles. Her body has been upgraded several times, and she is later given a completely new body that looks completely human, unlike her original body's easily detectable parts; she even has a chibi body designed to disguise herself. The upgrade also allows her to transform her arms into swords and guns.
Sakuya is the only human living in the Scarlet Devil Mansion, yet she is also the head maid. The official fanbook suggests she had been a vampire hunter before she began working in the mansion, but she was defeated by Remilia Scarlet who pitied her and gave Sakuya her current name. Though she looks about sixteen like the other girls, Sakuya has the ability to slow, stop and possibly reverse time. She seems to have been serving Remilia for a long time and may be far older then she looks. Socially, she interacts mainly with the others in the Scarlet Devil Mansion. Her talents are cooking, knife throwing and time manipulation. The latter two abilities characterize her appearances in-game, and led to frequent parodies in reference to Dio Brando of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, who also controls time and throws knives. This reference goes so far as Sakuya using some of his poses in a game. She is often associated with dogs by other characters because she is serving as a demon's "faithful guard dog" even though she is a full blood human. Due to the inconsistent artwork depicting her bust between games, djinshi often make fun of her by indicating that she pads her breasts. (Source: Wikipedia)
Birthday: October 17 Blood type: A Nobue is the eldest main character. She is Chika's older sister and usually has final authority on all matters. She often tries to "borrow" money from Chika to buy cigarettes. Nobue is perpetually searching for a part-time job to earn money for more cigarettes to calm her nicotine addiction. The story suggests that Nobue derives some kind of sensual pleasure from watching the girls do cute things. In this respect, Nobue appears to appreciate the moe aesthetic. It is seen during the anime that Nobue prefers Matsuri and Ana over Chika and Miu. The Nobue character changed from the manga to the anime. In the manga, she is a sixteen-year-old high school freshman, while in the anime she is a twenty-year-old junior-college student. Her age is presumably changed because of her smoking and drinking habit, both becoming legal in Japan at age twenty. Although in the first episode of the anime she introduces herself as a sixteen-year-old, this was intended to be a joke as she quickly stated that she was twenty. She tends to act somewhat less mature in her manga incarnation, doing things such as tricking Matsuri into thinking that Miu is dead. Her appearance changes radically in the early stages of the manga, especially her hair, which goes from blond to dark brown (and is black in the anime).
A tengu who has been in Gensokyo for over 1000 years, when oni were still around. Her origin is a crow. She has the ability to manipulate wind. Her character is honest but not rigid. She is polite to strong people, and deals more firmly with weak people. However, she is always polite when conducting an interview. Although her powers are among the top class in Gensokyo, she never uses them just to show off. This isn't only a characteristic of hers, but of tengu in general. She usually lives on a mountain where the wind always moves at the same speed and the same direction. She loves gossip and is always gathering information exchanged with her fellow tengu. During any exchange, information is warped, and almost all of their stories end up exaggerated. She is the biggest connoisseur of rumors about the girls of Gensokyo among the tengu. Through observing for herself and collecting information from colleagues, barely a moment passes when she isn't obtaining material. However, much of her material is mingled with rumor. She writes up her non-periodical newspaper, Bunbunmaru News, and distributes it among the tengu. It's a newspaper chock-full of rumors. As the current disaster started up, the tengu were overjoyed. There was much new material to be obtained, based on which they can write up their newspapers. (Source: TouhouWiki)
