Edel is a puppet made by Drosselmeyer, she acts as a guide to make sure all characters go through the set story as intended. She is merely a doll that cannot feel; however, in an act of kindness to portray human emotions, she acts as a martyr by burning her body to keep Fakir warm & light the way to the surface for Princess Tutu and Prince Myuuto. In the end, what's left of her are put back together and Uzura is born as a reincarnation. The song Edel plays on her organ grinder is "Musique des Automates" from the ballet "Coppélia". In the ballet, dolls and puppets created by an old toy maker dance to this song, reminiscent of the fact Edel is a puppet. In the manga: Edel is not a puppet, but is the owner of a shop that sells tutus. She was the one who gave Ahiru the pendant to transfer into Princess Tutu. Sometimes, Ahiru goes to visit the shop to ask Edel questions. She is a follower of the Raven. She gave Ahiru and Rue their pendants so that they can collect Myuuto's heart shards for her (unbeknownst to them).
Jinta Hanakari is a small, red-haired boy who is supposed to do manual labor for the shop, such as cleaning. Instead he usually slacks off and forces Ururu to do all the work. Though he frequently bullies her, he does care for Ururu as he recovers her body after she is injured by an arrancar. Though he is more knowledgeable than one might expect given his young appearance, he is still childish, calling Renji Abarai a "moocher," and he enjoyed teasing, spitting, and drooling on Ichigo when his Chain of Fate was severed and Ichigo was becoming a hollow in a incapacitated state. Jinta seems to have a crush on Yuzu Kurosaki, calling her "The Goddess" and regarding anything she gives to him as sacred. Ururu is a meek, black-haired girl who mostly does manual labor for the shop, as well as assisting Urahara in training Ichigo. She is Karakura Pink in Don Kanoji's superhero team and uses a multi-barreled cannon as her weapon. She seems to respond robotically when injured or when hollows initially appear. Jinta also mentions that she reacts to strange spiritual presences, such as those of arrancar. During such times, Ururu seems to take on a rather simplistic view of right and wrong. She considers those that cause harm (relative to her) as enemies, and believes that enemies must be eliminated. Ururu's meek attitude is somewhat at odds with her fighting ability, which is undefined, but quite high (Urahara vaguely mentions that her fighting ability is at an "anti-shinigami" level). Her leg-strength in particular is far greater than it should be, even when compared to Kon while he's in Ichigo's body. Her combat skills are shown when she gives the arrancar Ilfort Grantz a devastating kick to the head while he is fighting with Renji Abarai, overpowering him to the point that he is forced to release his zanpakut�. Birthday: May 9 Kyouko is a veteran magical girl who comes to the city later in the story. A girl with red-colored long hair and an equally fiery personality to match. Amusingly, she is always seen eating something, even while she is battling. She came from a poor church family and used her wish so that people would listen to her father's preaching; when her father learned of this, however, he went mad and killed everyone in his family aside from Kyouko. As such, Kyouko decided only to use her magic for herself from this point on, since using it for others will only cause despair. Having grown up in a poor family, she often has to steal food and hates people who waste it, a logic she also applies to Grief Seeds, as she only goes after fully grown witches. Kyouko has been a Puella Magi much longer than the others, and thus is more skillful; she wields a spear which can extend itself, split into multiple sections, and produce a ball at the end of a chain, which can constrict and hit others at the same time. She also has the ability to put up barriers to protect others or keep them from interfering. She initially clashes with Sayaka, but after learning the truth about Soul Gems, she sympathizes with her and tries to help her. After Sayaka becomes a witch, she becomes determined to save her and restore her to normal, but ultimately sacrifices herself in the fight so that Sayaka would not die alone. She overloads her soul gem to create a massive explosion that kills them both. In a previous timeline, she was killed by Mami, who was driven insane after learning that they would all eventually become witches. In the final timeline, Kyouko survives, and grieves over Sayaka's death in battle. In the third drama CD, it is explained that, prior to the main storyline, Kyouko once had the power to utilize illusion magic, but after her family's death she subconsciously lost that ability. She also had a friendship with Mami prior to her family's death, which was severed when Kyouko decided to be more selfish with her magic. This friendship was also explored in Oriko Magica, though not in-depth. Her relationship with Mami is thoroughly explained in The Different Story, showing in depth the events mentioned in the drama CD and it is also shown that her previous mentor-apprentice relationship with Mami is the reason of her coming to Mitagawa City. This occurs before Homura's checkpoint, so it's supposedly a constant and remains true as her motives for retuning to the city in the anime as well. At some point in The Different Story manga Kyouko also comes in terms with her past and regains a fraction of her illusion magic, which she uses to fool Mami into believing she had cleansed her Soul Gem and allows her to live. After defeating Oktavia and truly cleansing Mami's Soul Gem, Kyouko dies in her fight with another witch while trying to get a Grief Seed for herself.
