A 1st year and another new member of the Magic Club. Akane is a spoiled rich girl who often misses going to club meetings in order to go on dates with boyfriends. She seems to be a natural at using magic, and it comes very easily to her (such is her inant skill that she is able to make makeshift wands out of rudimentary objects, though they are rather primative and weak compared to her regular wand), though it can't be said the same for her flying. Akane often uses magic for selfish reasons against what Takakura has taught, which causes Sae to lecture her in several instances. In a cute touch, anything affected soley by her magic spins before the spell's true effect come to pass, something which she has no control over. In the TV series, Akane works as a model and appears in clothing advertisements throughout the city. Her mother is a famous actress.
A 2nd year and a friend of Sae since childhood. She just wants to be a normal high school girl and gets frustrated with Sae's obsession with the Magic Club, although she is proficient in magic herself. Nanaka has a crush on Aburatsubo but is afraid to admit her feelings because she knows they won't be returned. She self described her family as "all over the place", and though she is often embarressed and aggrivated by their respective antics, she loves them dearly.

She is a high school student of Central High School. Her real name is unknown. She is overly conscious with the proximity of high school boys to her and often thinks too hard of what to do to escape the situation. In the train though, she decides to tease boys who happen to stand or seat near her by moving away. The main trio each had a chance encounter with her; all of them subsequently making her feel more conscious about herself. She is an acquaintance of Yassan.
Leader of Division 1. She is highly regarded by everyone in the police force and has a solid relationship with all of her coworkers. This is especially true of her relationship with Goto, which is difficult to sum up but can be described as interesting. Nagumo is a by-the-book style captain, as opposed to Goto who will often do many unconventional things to meet a goal. Otto Lilienthal, also known as the "Glider King", appears in the first episode where he snatches Yomiko's book while she is in the Library of Congress. The Library team chases him to New York City, where Yomiko builds a giant paper airplane to engage Lilienthal in aerial combat. Yomiko and Nancy defeat him by attaching a paper grappling hook to his glider, which then crashes into the Statue of Liberty.
The older of the Valentine brothers, Luke is entirely unlike his brother, and sports a calm and composed behaviour. like Jan, he does not have any high class vampire abilities, and use a pair of sawed-off M1 Garand rifles as well as knives. Luke challenges Alucard, but grossly underestimate him, and is in the end eaten by Alucards Hellhound.
